Will Amnesty Lead to Rebellion?

Bush and Fox

People never rebel against a government as long as they can ignore it. As long as they have a reasonable expectation that they will be allowed to keep their homes and some of the money they earn and be allowed to live most of their lives in peace, they will remain quiet and tacitly allow a government -even a corrupt, increasingly evil one- to continue.

There is however always a breaking a point that leads to rebellion. In France, it was the flippant attitude by the aristocracy toward the suffering and starvation of the masses. In America, it was endless taxation and a condescending attitude by British aristocrats toward the colonies. In Germany in the 1920s, it was blundering incompetence by hack politicians combined with staggering unemployment and hyper-inflation.

Here in America, we have seen a long series of betrayals. There was a mini-rebellion against NAFTA and GATT, which began the wholesale transfer of our manufacturing to the Third World. Millions of people voted for Ross Perot. The mainstream media made fun of him, but everything he said was proven 100 percent right. He was a sincere patriot who wanted what was best for America while the Democrats and Republicans were selling us out.

NAFTA and GATT are being eclipsed by an even bigger betrayal: immigration. Americans want tight controls on who can become a citizen. They want immigrants to be primarily from Europe, not the Third World. But our politicians are stabbing us in the back. They have all the arrogance of King George toward the colonials or Marie Antoinette with her famous remark “Let them eat cake.”

There is a fierce battle raging in the House and Senate over immigration. The House fearing a severe voter backlash opposes an amnesty bill. The Senate wants to water down any measures until they are meaningless. George Bush is completely oblivious to the will of the people. He has pushed his idea of a guest worker/amnesty bill. As Congress tries to crack down on illegal immigration, George Bush is meeting, not with angry residents of southern California or Arizona, but with his old buddy, Vincente Fox, the president of Mexico. A recent news story reports “Mexican President Vincente Fox played tour guide to U.S. President George W. Bush at ancient Mayan ruins on Thursday before holding talks to urge him to push through long-sought U.S. immigration reform.” Could George Bush be anymore out of touch?

The number of illegal aliens in America today is estimated at 12 to 20 million. Giving amnesty to this vast number of primarily Latino illegals, will be the ultimate kick in the teeth for mainstream America. All the people, who said “I don’t want to throw my vote away by voting for Perot.” will suddenly realize what a HUGE mistake they made by sticking with the two party system.

An amnesty today will be the green light for an even bigger invasion tomorrow. Ten years from now, we will have 50 million (if not 100 million) illegal aliens from all over the Third World demanding yet another amnesty. Any thought of Americans collecting Social Security in their old age or getting quality medical care from Medicaid or Medicare will be wiped out by the MASSIVE demands made by tens of millions of illegals and their even greater number of children.

If the two party system does sell us out, that should be the last straw. No one should vote for a Republican or a Democrat ever again. Future elections should be contests between the Constitution Party and any other third party which understands the immigration issue. The slogan in the future should be “Don’t throw your vote away by voting for a Republican or Democrat.”
