What Happens When the Fraud Is Undeniable?
by Jeff Davis
One thing I’ve always wondered is what happens in America if a politician simply decides not to play by the rules and to ignore the latest election –especially if the election is of dubious Diebold origins.
Well, Channel 6 News in Indianapolis is reporting “Though a new Anderson mayor has been inaugurated, the man he replaced says he’s not officially acknowledging the change, citing a lawsuit questioning the election winner’s residency. Ex-Mayor Kevin Smith on Tuesday issued a statement contending it is his constitutional duty to keep claiming the office until the lawsuit — which alleges new Mayor Kris Ockomon wasn’t an Anderson resident for a required period before the election — is adjudicated. On Wednesday morning, a judge sent the lawsuit to the Indiana Supreme Court, asking it to appoint a special judge to the case. Ockomon, who was sworn in Tuesday, has assumed the mayor’s duties and has moved into the mayor’s official office. But Smith says he’ll still claim the title of mayor until the lawsuit is resolved.”
Come on now, Ken! A lawsuit? That’s not the way it’s done in good old Latin American style! You need to barricade yourself and your boys in your office and keep on fighting until you run out of ammunition!
Channel 6 goes on: “The plaintiffs’ attorney, Mark Regnier, said Smith intends to ‘rule from exile’ but not interfere with city business. ‘He is going to meet with his department heads and keep in touch with city business, but he is not going to interfere with city business until the courts make a decision on the merits of the case,’ Regnier said. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of five Anderson residents, some of whom worked in Smith’s administration.”
This brings up some interesting questions. Leaving aside the question of Al Gore’s fitness to govern, which I grant you is not significantly superior to Bush, suppose that back in 2000 Al Gore and the Democrats had decided “To heck with this, we’re not letting the Republicans cheat their way into office! We’re not letting the Supreme Court un-Constitutionally appoint a President of the United States!” What if they had just plain refused to accept the result of what was obviously a bogus and damaged election in Florida, although who did the monkeying around is an open question to this day?
Suppose the Democrats had set up a kind of “government in exile,” and Al Gore had fled to Canada or Europe and claimed to be the legitimate President of the United States, and pushed that claim with everything he had?
This is the kind of thing that upsets apple carts, shatters cozy arrangements, and can change history. Eventually all systems like the one we have in place fall apart when someone with enough clout decides not to play by the rules any more. The greatest historical example of this was Julius Caesar, but there have been countless others, including our own Founding Fathers here in America.
Better yet, what if we ALL stopped playing by the rules and refused to accept the results of the highly dubious primary, where the cheating was glaringly obvious beginning in New Hampshire. Our last two presidents were manifestly mentally and emotionally incapable of exercising the powers of office. George Bush was quite obviously acting on an agenda which was not in the best interests of the country when he went to war against Iraq and when he tried to shove an illegal alien amnesty down our throats.
Suppose -like that mayor in Indiana- all of us decided to kick over the table and say “NO!” Let’s say proof of massive Diebold vote-stealing was revealed just as the neocons tried to stick us with McCain or Romney or Hillary. Could millions of protesters marching on Washington DC overrule fraudulent election results and put a populist in the White House?
