The Hillary Threat Looms Larger

Remember the good old days, before Dubya and his neocon cabal got into the White House and tried to conquer the world? Remember those stirring days of yesteryear when conservatives, racialists, right-wingers and Klansmen and Christians were all united against a common enemy, Bill and Hill? Well, those days are coming again. An Old Fighter in the anti-Clinton Crusade has appeared once more on the scene, and we’re going party like it’s 1995. Heigh-o, Silver!
Matt Drudge informs us: “Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it filed a lawsuit on July 16, 2007 in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration to obtain access to the following records from the Clinton Presidential Library: ‘First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton’s calendar, to include but not limited to her daily office diary, schedule, day planner, telephone log book, and chronological file.’ The Archives, which operates and maintains Clinton Presidential Library records, failed to respond to Judicial Watch’s April 5, 2006 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. ‘Judicial Watch has a clear statutory right to have the Library search for and produce all non-exempt records responsive to its April 5, 2006 FOIA request within the time frame required by the [law]. The Library also is required to produce an index of any responsive records it seeks to withhold from Judicial Watch under the claim of exemption,’ Judicial Watch wrote in its court filing. ‘Although more than 15 months have passed since Judicial Watch served its request, the Library has failed to do either.’”
Curiosity question: did George W. Bush get his habit of simply ignoring the law from the Clintons or are they just birds of a feather?
Drudge continues “Judicial Watch is seeking Mrs. Clinton’s records from January 1, 1993 to January 20, 2001, the approximate time period during which she served as First Lady. On January 20, 2006, more than 80 million pages of documents and 20 million e-mails from the Clinton administration were supposed to be made available to the public, yet only a portion have been released. Judicial Watch believes these documents potentially contain a treasure trove of previously undisclosed information. (Judicial Watch has made a number of requests to the Clinton Presidential Library concerning various Clinton administration scandals.) ”
Another similarity between the Clintons and Bush Junior is that Bush has refused to turn over ANY of his private documents from office to any library or archive, and has stated publicly that when he leaves office, he intends to take the whole kit and kaboodle with him and stash it all in his basement or attic or in some storage room at Texas A & M University, something of that kind. Someone should tell Bush that being President doesn’t make you immune from subpoenas, but nowadays maybe it does.
Back to Drudge: “’Given Mrs. Clinton’s current status as a presidential candidate, if not the front-runner for the Democratic Party’s nomination, the public interest in her tenure as First Lady is undeniable,’ Judicial Watch stated in its lawsuit. ‘Because Mrs. Clinton seeks our nation’s highest office and may well be the next President of the United States, the public interest weighs heavily in favor of enjoining the Library from continuing to withhold the records at issue.’ ”
In other words, don’t let this demon-lady re-invent herself for the 100th time! We need to find something that will at least REMIND the American people, of what it was life living with this crazed sea hag in the White House, before she gets back in there without even her happy-go-lucky husband to restrain her.
Folks, have you seriously thought about what it’s going to be like if Hillary Clinton is allowed to shmooze, sweet-talk, buy or bribe or election-rig her way back into the White House? How crazed she will be when she finally gets her hands on the power. How vengeful she will be against everyone from talk radio to the lowliest Internet blogger? Once she has all that lovely “emergency legislation” power that the neocons have set up, who knows what she’ll do? And don’t forget the legal power to lock up her opponents by declaring them domestic “terrorists.” No Habeas Corpus, no trial, just a secret prison cell somewhere in a Third World prison run by the CIA. And us dissidents could be tortured also, (thanks George). People, we had better start paying attention to what’s going on with this election. We may soon have a new devil running the Executive Branch, who will make the old devil look sane.
