THAT’S Her Plan? (Hillary-care)

Looks like Hillary really means it when she says she wants every American to have health care insurance. She means it so much she’s going to force everyone to buy it, and won’t let them get a job unless they do.
The Associated Press reports “Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that a mandate requiring every American to purchase health insurance was the only way to achieve universal health care, but she rejected the notion of punitive measures to force individuals into the health care system. ‘At this point, we don’t have anything punitive that we have proposed,’ the presidential candidate said in an interview with The Associated Press.” Gee thanks, Mommy Dearest, for not punishing us –yet.
The AP article notes “She said she could envision a day when ‘you have to show proof to your employer that you’re insured as a part of the job interview — like when your kid goes to school and has to show proof of vaccination,’ but said such details would be worked out through negotiations with Congress.” You mean the same Congress that approved the Iraq War, a torture bill and warrantless wiretaps.
The same article continues “Clinton unveiled her health care plan Monday in Iowa, promising to bring coverage to every American by building on the current employer-based system and using tax credits to make insurance more affordable.” What about that Canadian and European-style single payer system which you’ve been promising the left-wing of your own party out of the other side of your mouth for all these years? Is this all your “plan” is going to be? Forcing everyone to fork over cash from their own pockets to the insurance companies?
Let’s think about this for a minute. If Americans could AFFORD to buy private health insurance in the first place, don’t you think they would already be doing so rather than going uninsured and risk losing everything they have? And another thing, if people can’t get a job unless they have privately purchased health insurance, where are they going to get the money to buy the health insurance? We could be creating a whole new class of unemployable, uninsured people.
And what about the 20 million illegal aliens who are squatting in our country? Won’t they just continue to work for cash and traipse into the emergency room every time one of their bambinos has a sniffle and charge it off to the gringo taxpayers.
