Some News Reporters as Sleazy as Politicians
by Jeff Davis
It would appear as if politicians in New York and New Jersey are not the only people with grotty personal lifestyles to conceal.
According to the New York Times: “Richard Quest, a reporter and business travel specialist for CNN, is being arraigned today on a misdemeanor charge of drug possession after the authorities said he was found with methamphetamine in Central Park. Mr. Quest was arrested early Friday morning after being escorted out of Central Park for violating the park curfew, a law enforcement official said Friday. The park is closed from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m…The police noticed Mr. Quest at 64th Street and West Drive at about 3:40 a.m., the official said. As he was being escorted out, he volunteered, ‘I have meth in my pocket,’ according to an official briefed on the case. The police searched him and recovered a small amount of methamphetamine in a Ziploc bag.”
Just how drugged up does someone have to be to volunteer the fact that he has meth in his pocket? Bright boy.
The New York Times article continues “Mr. Quest is a high-profile correspondent for CNN International, known for feature reports and profiles. CNN calls Mr. Quest, who is British, one of the network’s ‘most instantly recognizable members. He hosts CNN Business Traveler and a feature program titled “Quest” for the news network. CNN had no immediate comment.”
I wonder if his “Business Traveler” show includes tips on how to find a drug dealer at four o’clock in the morning in Central Park.
But wait. There’s more:
The first article, I found, reporting on this incident cite was from a neocon mouthpiece. It contained some even more grotty details about Quest’s quest for–whatever. I turned eagerly to the cited Internet address and found that the story was listed as “no longer available,” after being up only a few hours. I did find an indirect quote from the now defunct Post article on a lefty blog which went as follows:
“Last night I saw a brief mention in the L.A. Times that Quest had been busted traipsing around New York’s Central Park at nearly 4AM. The park is closed between 1AM and 6AM, mostly because it had long been a rendezvous for gays looking for outdoor sex and for violent criminals looking for gay victims. I noted that Quest had a baggy full of meth… Anyway, this morning’s NY Post, right on cue, had all the gory details and no one will ever have to wonder about Richard Quest again.”
The lefty blog then quotes from the original article: “CNN personality Richard Quest was busted in Central Park early yesterday with some drugs in his pocket, a rope around his neck that was tied to his genitals, and a sex toy in his boot, law-enforcement sources said. Quest was initially busted for loitering, the source said. Aside from the oddly configured rope, the search also turned up a sex toy inside of his boot, and a small bag of methamphetamine in his left jacket pocket. It wasn’t immediately clear what the rope was for…He was charged with loitering and criminal possession of a controlled substance. His unusual get-up didn’t lead to a lewdness charge because he wasn’t exposing himself, the police source said.”
This guy is walking around a very dangerous public park looking for some kind of gay action, with a bag of meth in one pocket and a “sex toy” in his boot? Not to mention the rope!! Our politicians as well as news reporters are increasingly degenerate perverts of the worst sort. Ancient Rome declined to its most decadent phase just before it was overthrown. Hopefully, we’re nearing a similar turning point in history.
