Ron Paul Should Keep it Simple
by James Buchanan
During a recent debate, each candidate was given a chance to ask another candidate a question. Ron Paul asked John McCain about an obscure government office, that most people have never heard of. McCain went on to flub the response, suggesting that he knows little if anything about economics.
While some people have praised Ron Paul for exposing McCain’s economic ignorance. Others complain that Paul wasted an opportunity to make a much more important point. Ron Paul should have focused on the illegal alien problem or ending the Iraq War.
Never, never, never focus on some obscure intellectual topic that Joe Sixpack doesn’t understand.
Ron Paul should have asked John McCain something like: “Given the fact that illegal aliens take much more in government services than they pay in taxes, why did you support an Illegal Alien Amnesty Bill that would have made US citizens out of 20 million illegals?”
McCain has been placing first or second in several primaries and needs to be knocked off his pedestal, and the only way to do that is to bring up his recent support of an Amnesty.
If someone did a poll of Americans and asked them who would end the Iraq War, most people would say Hillary or Obama. If someone did a poll of Americans and asked them who would stop illegal immigration, most people would say Romney or Huckabee (and a few idiots would say McCain).
Ron Paul has allowed these liars and phonies to steal the two most important issues of the 2008 election from him. You can never assume that people will see through the liars, especially when there are so many of them.
If Ron Paul wants to win the primary he should be running national ads right now. The ads should keep things simple. Focus on the two biggest issues of 2008 and don’t tolerate other candidates stealing your issues. It costs about $100,000 for a 30 second ad on a nationally-syndicated TV show or three 10 second ads. Political advertising is usually offered at a considerable discount from commercial advertising.
It only takes ten seconds to say:
“I’m Ron Paul and I’m the only candidate in either Party, who can be trusted to enforce immigration laws and end the Iraq War as soon as possible.”
While Ron Paul is talking a video of a big crowd waving Ron Paul signs could be shown and they could scroll the following text (to deal with the HUGE problem of other candidates stealing these issues from Ron Paul):
