GOP Straw Polls in Indiana and New Hampshire on August 18th
Anyone in Indiana or New Hampshire: Here’s something important to do Saturday!!!!
by James Buchanan
Please excuse the very short notice, but the next Republican Straw Polls are on August 18th in Indiana and New Hampshire. In Indiana, Ron Paul needs activists to hold a rally at this event to impress state delegates who will be attending. A good turn out should impress the delegates and convince many that voting for Paul is the will of the people.
One web site notes: “Tippecanoe County Republican Chairman Bob Hicks said by the time Indiana votes in May, the candidates have usually been decided. So, this month county republicans will hold a straw poll convention to allow Tippecanoe county residents to voice their selection.
Hicks said the straw poll is an unofficial opinion survey. ‘This will just be an indication of what Tippecanoe county thinks about who might be the best presidential candidate for a very important 2008 presidential election,’ Hicks said.
Republicans have registered 250 county delegates to vote on the GOP candidates. Anyone can attend the straw poll convention to watch and learn how the process works. It will be Satuday August 18 from 10:00a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Wea Ridge Middle School.”
The New Hampshire straw poll is also on August 18th.
The Ron Paul website notes:
“Strafford County GOP Picnic and Straw Poll
Congressman Ron Paul will be attending a picnic in Strafford, NH on Saturday, August 18th. The picnic will be hosted by the Strafford County GOP, and will begin at 12:00 PM, running till 5:00 PM. This is will be a great opportunity for Ron Paul supporters in New Hampshire to have some fun, great food, and hear the Congressman speak.”
