New Book Exposes “The Obamanation”

A recent news article reports that “Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama hit back Thursday with a 40-page rebuttal to the best-selling book The Obama Nation, arguing the author is a fringe bigot peddling rehashed lies. Jerome Corsi’s anti-Obama book, The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, claims the Illinois senator is a dangerous, radical candidate for president. The book is a compilation of all the innuendo and false rumors against Obama — that he was raised a Muslim, attended a radical, black church and secretly has a ‘black rage’ hidden beneath the surface.”
Now wait a second! Wasn’t Obama raised in Indonesia, a Muslim country? Isn’t it likely he was raised with a Muslim upbringing considering that his adopted Indonesian father was a Muslim? Exactly why should we immediately assume this new book is all innuendo, false rumors and bigotry? Could it be because Obama is black and it’s somehow “wrong” to state unpleasant facts about a black politician?
The article goes on: “In fact, Obama is a Christian who attended Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. The Obama campaign picked apart the book’s claims in a rebuttal titled ‘Unfit For Publication,’ to be posted on the Obama campaign’s rumor-fighting Web site, FightTheSmears.com. The title is a play on the book Corsi co-authored against 2004 Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry’s military service called Unfit For Command.”
Exactly how many years was Obama a Muslim versus years he was a Christian? Is it possible that he only started attending Trinity United Church as a political decision so that he would get the support of blacks in Illinois so he could win the Senator race there? And let’s not forget his “pastor” is a black militant racist. The media have decided that “Reverend” Wright is henceforth a “non-person” because Wright’s association with Obama was costing Obama support.
The article notes ” ‘Jerome Corsi is a discredited liar who is peddling another piece of garbage to continue the Bush-Cheney politics he helped perpetuate four years ago,’ said Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor. ‘His is just one of what will likely be many more lie-filled books rushed to print this election cycle, which are cobbled together from debunked Internet sources to make money and advance a partisan agenda. We will respond to these smears forcefully with all means at our disposal.’”
This guy Corsi must really have Obama’s spin-meisters (also know as the Obamanable Snowmen) worked up into a frenzy. Mr. Vietor is practically gibbering like a monkey using every smear he can to discredit Corsi. Corsi incidentally is not a neocon hack. He doesn’t support McCain, but instead prefers a Third Party candidate. Perhaps Corsi is just a concerned American, who sees a socialist Democrat presidential candidate getting a total pass and almost no scrutiny from the liberal media because he is black.
The article continues “Corsi’s book is off to a swift start and is No. 1 on The New York Times’ hardcover nonfiction best-seller list, even though Obama’s campaign would argue the book should be listed as fiction. In “The Obama Nation” — the title is a twist on the word abomination — Corsi catalogs various allegations that have haunted Obama on right-wing blogs and anonymous e-mails. Corsi suggests, without a shred of proof, that Obama may be using drugs today. Obama has acknowledged using marijuana and cocaine as a teenager but says he quit when he went to college and hasn’t used drugs since.”
Isn’t past drug use a reasonable suspicion for present day drug use? I wouldn’t call that suspicion all that unreasonable. There were rumors of Clinton doing cocaine while in the White House and the VP Al Gore smoking pot. Obama is frequently seen puffing on a cigarette, but don’t expect too many photos of Obama indulging in that politically incorrect addiction being published by the liberal news media.
Someone has dared to question the Cult of the Obamanable Personality and liberals are going into hysterics over what they see as a racist attack. Whenever Obama doesn’t have a written speech to read, he lapses into long and disjointed maunderings. Obama appears to be a lot less bright than his speech writers. After all, he got into Harvard on a racial quota so why should we expect all that much intelligence from him?
If the liberals are this hypersensitive now during the campaign, including attempts to shut down anti-Obama bloggers, what do you think it will be like if this creature is sitting in the White House?
