Muslim Provokes Taser Incident at UCLA

Recently, a Muslim student, Mostafa Tabatabainejad, was using a computer at Powell Library at UCLA. He refused to show his ID to campus police during a routine late night check. More police showed up and Mostafa reportedly provoked the police and ignored their instructions. The police then tasered him. The fact that someone made a video of the police shocking him suggests that it may have been a pre-planned incident. There are lots of far left organizations on campus who have nothing better to do than provoke incidents like this. His shouting about the “Patriot Act” added to the suspicion that the incident was pre-planned.
An L.A. Times article reports “According to a campus police report, the incident began when community service officers, who serve as guards at the library, began their nightly routine of checking to make sure everyone using the library after 11 p.m. is a student or otherwise authorized to be there. Campus officials said the long-standing policy was adopted to ensure students’ safety. When Tabatabainejad, 23, refused to provide his ID to the community service officer, the officer told him he would have to show it or leave the library, the report said. After repeated requests, the officer left and returned with campus police, who asked Tabatabainejad to leave “multiple times,” according to a statement by the UCLA Police Department. ‘He continued to refuse,’ the statement said. ‘As the officers attempted to escort him out, he went limp and continued to refuse to cooperate with officers or leave the building.’ Witnesses disputed that account, saying that when campus police arrived, Tabatabainejad had begun to walk toward the door with his backpack. When an officer approached him and grabbed his arm, the witnesses said, Tabatabainejad told the officer to let go, yelling ‘Get off me’ several times.”
First of all, Mostafa should not be in this country. Second of all, he’s an idiot. It’s just plain stupid to provoke police no matter what country you’re in. Perhaps he’s some spoiled brat from the Persian upper class and he thinks he can treat American police as if they’re servants, who showed up late with dinner.
If police ask you for your ID, you should show it to them. With all the crime, the minorities commit, the police are always looking for suspects. If someone refuses to show his ID, then the average cop starts to think that person might be the burglar, he’s looking for. UCLA has suffered burglaries, robberies and the occasional serial rapist.
The computers at university libraries allow anonymous access to the Internet (at least until the cops check the person’s ID). It would be no great surprise if police showed some extra interest in a Muslim who was spending a considerable amount of time on Muslim websites. Mostafa’s unwillingness to show ID would make a police officer that much more suspicious that he was up to no good.
It sounds like this Muslim could have shown his ID, but he chose not to. He was asked to leave and he refused –at least until more campus police showed up. It’s possible by then that the police wanted to know who he was in case he had some terrorist connection.
Most likely Mostaffa was not born in this country. Thanks to people like him, this nation has lived in paranoia since 911 and our liberties have disappeared one by one. Hundreds of millions of White Americans are treated like terrorists every time they fly on an airplane because we “can’t” racially profile Arabs and Iranians at airports. If we had an intelligent government free of Politically Correct constraints, we would have deported every swarthy foreigner from the Mid East after 911 regardless of whether they had become US citizens or not. Now this worthless foreigner will likely file a lawsuit and get a big payoff because he acted like a jerk, provoked an incident and someone captured it on video.
