MSNBC Poll: Huge Support for Impeachment
by James Buchanan

MSNBC has been the second biggest Zionist cheerleader for Bush after Fox News. They have repeatedly gone out of their way to portray Bush in a favorable light. They have either not reported or severely under-reported many stories which clearly show that the Bush administration used deceit to lead us into a war that has benefited only Israel and the oil companies. It is a stunning disaster for Bush that their latest poll showed (at the time of this article) an 85 percent support for impeachment.
The last “official” Zogby poll on impeaching Bush was paid for by a private organization: “AfterDowningStreet.com” Their name refers to the Downing Street Memos, which prove we were deliberately lied into war. Zogby carried out the poll and found that 53 percent of Americans supported impeachment if Bush lied us into war. That poll, which was carried out in late October and early November, has been a dark cloud over the Bush administration. Obviously a poll contradicting those results would be great coup for Bush.
A recent opinion poll claimed that Bush’s popularity had bounced up to 47 percent from a low of 35. This came after a big propaganda campaign implying that Bush was cracking down on illegal aliens. 125 illegals were rounded up at a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania in an action that made nation-wide news. Various Bush spokesmen then made public claims that illegal aliens would be rounded up and deported. If the Bush popularity boost is as big as claimed, the illegal alien issue was almost certainly responsible.
Bush however continues to push his “guest worker” program, which is no different from an amnesty. Whenever this fact is brought up, Bush goes from hero to sell out in the blink of an eye. The federal government won’t follow up the Wal-Mart raid with additional large raids around the country. Anyone gullible enough to be fooled by all the “talk” about getting tough on illegals will be brought back to reality by the lack of action. Even if we believe that Bush’s popularity bounced up to 47 percent in a recent poll, the reason for that bounce was a dishonest claim by the Feds.
The MSNBC impeachment poll was clearly designed to discourage a “yes” vote. The poll asked “Should Bush be impeached and provided four choices. The pro-Impeachment choice stated “Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.” Bush has recently been pretending that there were no pre-war deceptions by him and that he was merely the victim of bad intelligence. (Yeah, right.) Thankfully, 85 percent of Americans have no problem with an outright charge that he lied us into war.
There were two choices in the poll for a “no” vote. The first one was “No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching ‘high crimes and misdemeanors.’ ” This choice got a pathetic five percent. The other choice was “No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.” Obviously that choice was for the Kool Aid drinkers and got only eight percent. The fourth choice was a simple “I don’t know” and got a two percent response.
The MSNBC Internet poll is not as accurate as Zogby or Gallup poll. Their website notes “(This is) Not a scientifically valid survey.” Still, a remarkable 85 percent blow out the day after Christmas when people are generally in a good mood is a monumental sign that Americans want Bush out of office now.
Perhaps someone at MSNBC thought it was “safe” to do an impeachment poll considering Bush’s alleged popularity bounce. Well, it looks like they were wrong. Bush is being clobbered by an 85 percent margin as of now. A few Republican Congressmen have already turned against Bush over the Iraq War. They need to be reelected in 2006. Blindly supporting the war would guarantee their defeat. The public however has gone way beyond opposing the war. The public wants George Bush PUNISHED and the demand for impeachment has become huge. It will be fascinating to see if Republicans begin climbing onto the impeachment bandwagon to save themselves from a gigantic public backlash.
