Is Israel Planning a Nuke Attack?

If the Sunday Times of London, one of the most reputable and painstakingly accurate newspapers in the world, is right about an article which appeared on January seventh, then all of humanity is facing a crisis which no one on earth dares ignore. It is entirely possible that Israel has decided to exercise what the Israeli government once designated as “The Samson Option.” They are going to launch a nuclear first strike against Iran, and possibly destroy human civilization as we know it in the process.
The Times article states that “Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons. Two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear bunker-busters, according to several Israeli military sources. The attack would be the first with nuclear weapons since 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”
According to the Times, the Jews are going to use nukes because “Israeli military commanders believe conventional strikes may no longer be enough to annihilate increasingly well-defended enrichment facilities. Several have been built beneath at least 70ft of concrete and rock. However, the nuclear-tipped bunker-busters would be used only if a conventional attack was ruled out and if the United States declined to intervene.”
In other words, if the Democrats in Congress or the few remaining sane elements in the Republican Party or even the American military itself, is able to prevent Bush from attacking Iran, then the Jews intend to start the true War to End All Wars (and everything else) by acting all on their own.
This is instructive. In the White House we have an increasingly disturbed and paranoid U. S. President with his finger on the button, but we need to remember that even if his shaky hand can be wrenched away from that button, the monster that we have created in the Middle East could still destroy the earth.
Let us examine what would happen in the event of a nuclear attack on Iran. In the first place, this would be absolutely the last straw for the Muslim world. The few remaining American and Israeli puppet regimes in places like Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt would almost certainly be overthrown by massive Islamic mobs in a spontaneous act of region-wide revolution, drowning those regimes in blood. Iran’s oil could easily be contaminated cutting off a large percentage of oil America needs to keep gas prices under five dollars a gallon. There could easily be a months-long oil embargo involving Saudi Arabia and the Emirates and a huge flare up in the insurgency in Iraq, which would bomb all the pipelines into oblivion. In Pakistan, the Musharraf regime would fall. Pakistan already has nukes–so Osama Bin Laden could end up with the weapons the neocons claimed they were working so hard to keep out of his hands.
The economy of the West is a lot shakier than most economists will admit. Who knows how much damage would be caused by a major shock to our system such as having our oil supply cut off or having a large percentage of it made useless by radioactive contamination thanks to Israeli nukes?
There’s a significant chance that the Israeli Lobby may be losing their tyrannical grip on the US Congress. The neocons have been booted out of power and the backlash against the Iraq War is still being felt. It’s looking more and more likely that the US will not fight another proxy war for Israel anytime soon. If Israel does go ahead and drop nukes on Iran, they will become more isolated than they have ever been in their history. Even the “amen” chorus in the US Congress would have a hard time making excuses for them. Perhaps the best thing about Israel launching a war on Iran is that they would take the full blame for skyrocketing oil and gas prices that would result.
