Mexican Swine Flu in US, Another Side Effect of Diversity

Five US states report cases of Mexican Swine Flu.
by James Buchanan

A [1] Reuters news article reports “The death toll in Mexico from an outbreak of a new type of swine flu has risen to 103 people… around 400 people were in hospital out of a total of around 1,600 suspected cases… Millions of Mexicans stayed indoors at the weekend or ventured out wearing surgical masks, especially in Mexico City where the government stopped public events and shut museums, bars and stadiums closed to try and contain the virus.”
There are some ominous signs that the Mexican Swine Flu outbreak could be much worse than our news media has so far admitted. One news story noted that Mexican soldiers distributed SIX MILLION face masks to Mexican civilians. No doubt millions of Mexicans in the big cities have already bought face masks rather than wait for a government distribution.
Naturally the disease has spread to the US thanks to our total lack of border control. The news media is reporting 20 cases in five states so far, but the real number is no doubt much, much higher. Some airline flights have been canceled due to the panic. Airline stocks have already started to plunge. Mexico suddenly has all the tourist appeal of Somalia or Zimbabwe.
Our government has not yet officially admitted that the swine flu can be spread through the air, but the desperate measures being taken in Mexico clearly indicate that the virus is not just coming from pork products, but is being spread airborne from person to person. A BBC article notes that the virus has been found in the respiratory tracts of some patients and hospital staff have died while treating patients.
A [2] BBC News article reports “Readers in Mexico have been emailing the BBC describing the sense of fear gripping the country… a selection of BBC readers’ comments (follow)
I’m a specialist doctor in respiratory diseases and intensive care at the Mexican National Institute of Health. There is a severe emergency over the swine flu here. More and more patients are being admitted to the intensive care unit. Despite the heroic efforts of all staff (doctors, nurses, specialists, etc) patients continue to inevitably die. The truth is that anti-viral treatments and vaccines are not expected to have any effect, even at high doses. It is a great fear among the staff. The infection risk is very high among the doctors and health staff.
There is a sense of chaos in the other hospitals and we do not know what to do. Staff are starting to leave and many are opting to retire or apply for holidays. The truth is that mortality is even higher than what is being reported by the authorities, at least in the hospital where I work… It is killing three to four patients daily, and it has been going on for more than three weeks. It is a shame and there is great fear here. Increasingly younger patients aged 20 to 30 years are dying before our helpless eyes and there is great sadness among health professionals here.
Antonio Chavez, Mexico City.”
Most flu epidemics kill off the weakest members of society. A flu that kills people in their prime is especially alarming. This conjures up the memory of the [3] 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic, which is estimated to have killed from 20 to 100 million people world-wide.
The [4] BBC article quotes another physician “I work as a resident doctor in one of the biggest hospitals in Mexico City and sadly, the situation is far from ‘under control’. As a doctor, I realise that the media does not report the truth. Authorities distributed vaccines among all the medical personnel with no results, because two of my partners who worked in this hospital (interns) were killed by this new virus in less than six days even though they were vaccinated as all of us were. The official number of deaths is 20, nevertheless, the true number of victims are more than 200. I understand that we must avoid to panic, but telling the truth it might be better now to prevent and avoid more deaths… Mexico City.”
For decades we have warned that nothing good comes from the Third World. We have had dozens of flus spread across the US that came from Asia. West Nile Virus and Dengue Fever are turning up in parts of the US. If we kept our immigration doors firmly slammed shut to the non-White world, we would be much less endangered by these disease outbreaks. Now we can only pray that we don’t become part of an epidemic that has stemmed directly from our total lack of border control with Mexico.
