Huge Victory Against Illegal Aliens
by James Buchanan

One of the most impressive developments in the battle over illegal aliens has taken place in Texas. In a stroke of sheer genius, as many as one thousand cameras will be set up along the border and ordinary Internet users (like us) can log on and report any illegal aliens crossing the border. It remains to be seen whether the INS will do their part and speedily respond to each report of illegals by Internet users. As usual, the top INS bureaucrats will drag their feet and leave large intentional gaps in the border so that drug smugglers and a flood of slave labor can scurry across. The live coverage of the illegal alien invasion will lead to massive public outrage and things will change in a hurry. The open borders crowd in DC will soon find a very large fire lit under their posteriors.
This Internet-camera idea represents two BIG victories. The first is the enlistment of the American public in a volunteer capacity to help guard the border. When George Bush referred to the Minutemen as “vigilantes” he demonstrated the out-of-touch, arrogant attitude of the liberal Democrats and moderate Republicans who couldn’t care less how many million Mexicans cross the border. The second victory is that Americans for the first time will be able to see actual illegal aliens crossing the US border, real-time on their home computer. The broadcasting of the illegal alien problem on a live Internet feed will wake up millions of Americans who have not yet had their towns overrun by the brown invasion and will further outrage Americans who are already angry over the sell out on the border.
A recent news article reports “The governor of Texas has unveiled plans to place hundreds of CCTV cameras along the US-Mexico border so internet users can ‘patrol’ the frontier from their homes. Rick Perry said that the surveillance cameras along the Rio Grande would allow armchair border guards to view streamed video online and call a toll-free number and report any illegal immigrants they spot trying to enter the country. Texas authorities could then take whatever action they deemed appropriate. The cameras would cost $5 million (£2.6 million) to install along the state’s 1,000-mile border with Mexico and will be trained on ‘criminal hot spots and common routes used to enter this country.’ ”
Federal and state authorities have up until now turned a cold shoulder toward the Minutemen, the volunteers who staged a border watch to draw public attention to the illegal alien problem. Governor Schwarzenegger at first praised the Minutemen, but -as usual- he backed off any further support as he came under liberal pressure from the legislature and his wife. A camera system will allow millions of Americans to become Minutemen without the inconvenience of driving hundreds of miles to the border (at their own expense) and facing hostility from illegals, drug smugglers and from our own government, which previously had been hoping for an excuse to arrest these brave, patriotic Americans.
As Americans see the brown invasion for themselves and begin calling the INS to do something, a wave of outrage will develop. The INS will be under terrific public pressure to catch all the illegals and politicians will soon be voted out of office if they are seen as weak on immigration. The public in California, Arizona and New Mexico will soon demand a similar camera system along their borders –especially if all the illegals, who would have invaded Texas move to the other less defended border states. Of all the possible developments that could take place, this is a giant step toward victory against the illegal alien problem.
