Houston Raid Nabs 67 Illegals in One House
by Jeff Davis

Just to put a little perspective on how huge the immigration problem is in this country, the Houston Chronicle reports that Federal agents found 67 people at a stash house for illegals: “Federal officials have charged six men with harboring scores of illegal immigrants who were found packed into a house in a quiet southeast Houston neighborhood. The one-story residence was one of many stash houses that smugglers use in Houston for holding illegal immigrants until they can be moved elsewhere or released after relatives pay a fee, investigators said.”
The Feds charged six Mexicans who were running the stash house with immigration offenses and false imprisonment. Would anyone care to hazard a guess on how many of those illegals will, in fact, be deported and how many will end up getting visas or simply being released?
One interesting aspect of things also appears in the Chronicle article “The immigrants include 26 from Honduras, 24 from El Salvador, 13 from Mexico and two each from Brazil and Guatemala.” We tend to lump all Hispanic immigrants together as “Mexicans,” but we need to remember that over 134 nationalities have been intercepted by the Border Patrol coming across our porous southern border, everything from Mexicans to Iranians to Nigerians. All of the Third World is using America as a dumping ground, and they’re finding an easy route across the Mexican border.
Now, multiply this one stash house by how many thousand similar hide outs all across the southern United States? This was only a one story house in a residential neighborhood. Imagine how many illegals they could cram into a two story rental property. Illegal immigrant smuggling is a huge, lucrative business. Construction companies and a multitude of big corporations that rely on cheap labor benefit greatly. Meanwhile, ordinary Americans get stuck with a gigantic tax bill to provide free medical care and public education for millions of illegals and their families.
