Fly the Drunken Skies

It is one of the many unspoken secrets of our wonderful capitalist society that the biggest danger to air passengers comes not from Arab terrorists, but from the pilots and ground crews and mechanics of the airlines. Many of these jobs are now staffed on the basis of Affirmative Action quotas. To further reduce the cost of maintenance, many airlines have moved their maintenance outside the US. The biggest causes of airline disasters in recent decades have been poor maintenance and pilot error.
One news article reports “JetBlue, Southwest, America West, Northwest and United are among the carriers who outsource major maintenance of their aircraft to contractors in other countries, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.
• As JetBlue’s new A320 Airbus fleet ages, aircraft are sent to a repair hub in El Salvador;
• America West also sends its jets to El Salvador;
• Southwest has always outsourced its major maintenance;
• US Airways mechanics agreed Friday to pay cuts and the outsourcing of 2,000 mechanics jobs;
• Northwest sends its wide-body jets to Singapore and Hong Kong;
• Bankrupt United Airlines recently won union approval to begin using outside contractors for heavy maintenance.
It wasn’t long ago that major airlines employed their own highly-skilled mechanics, each with his or her own Federal Aviation Administration license.”
Flying is a dangerous experiment these days, and it needs to be avoided not just because of the long lines and Mickey Mouse “security” checks. Letting the Feds go through your belongings every time you travel is something that shouldn’t be tolerated. If the Feds wanted to stop terrorism, they could just deport all the Muslims. Harassing White people serves no good purpose.
There are still quality White people left in most of the top spots in the inspection business, but this will change. The top inspection jobs will increasingly go to quota-hires and then quality will begin dropping and then airplanes will begin dropping.
As if outsourcing maintenance to El Salvador isn’t bad enough, we are still having problems with pilots turning up drunk for work. Don’t they give alcohol and drug tests to pilots? Shouldn’t someone officially check the pilot before he gets on the plane (instead of hoping someone smells alcohol on his breath)? One British news article reports “An airline pilot turned up for work while almost six and a half times over the drink limit to fly a plane, a court has heard. American James Yates, 46, smelled strongly of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet when he turned up for duty at Manchester Airport, it has been claimed. A First Officer with American Airlines, he was to be one of three pilots on a 10.30 am transatlantic flight to Chicago with 181 passengers on board on February 11 last year.”
The article continues: “…When he went to go through a security gate for flight crew in his pilot’s uniform he could not find his identification security pass. (Probably left it in the pub.) Security staff could smell drink and called in police, who arrested Yates. He then failed a breathalyser test..The first specimen showed Yates had 71 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit for driving a car is 35 micrograms and for an aircraft is nine micrograms, the jury were told.”
So this guy was double the British limit for driving a car, which would make him a stumbling drunk with a blood alcohol content close to 0.16. Why is it getting increasingly difficult for major service providers like airlines, police and medical services to find people who are competent at their jobs and who don’t show up for work with their shirt on backwards and an empty bottle of Jack Daniels in one hand?
Why is it that so many people today are dysfunctional in some bizarre and creepy way? Common sense should have told this man that you don’t get smashed before you get into the cockpit of an airliner. What was going through this man’s mind? And yet this is not an isolated instance. There have been several high-profile cases of pilots attempting to board and take off with a planeload of passengers while hammered, in one case an entire four-man crew was drunk. Add to this an embarrassing number of judges, police and Homeland Security officers who have been caught in lewd behavior or rounded up in pedophile stings. Just prior to the 2006 election, the public was shocked by a Gay Republican pedophile scandal covered up by the party’s leadership.
Incidents like this, give a clear indication that America is a failed society. More and more, things just don’t work like they used to because of the neurotic and sometimes psychotic behavior of weirded-out, dysfunctional people whose morals and minds have simply been destroyed by life in politically correct America. Not only do we have the problem of incompetent quota hires, but the white people in our society are increasingly deranged. Perhaps somewhere deep in our subconscious we realize how unnatural and dangerous a multi-racial society is. After seeing the race problems get worse every year with new brown and black faces turning up in their supermarkets, streets and schools, some white people may snap and resort to drugs and alcohol to escape. We need to address these problems head on and stay sober. We need to get to the root of the problem and start kicking out the two-party crooks, who are ruining America.
