Do We Want Latinos to Get Citizenship?

Many of our politicians -especially George Bush- are falling over themselves saying that illegal aliens deserve a chance to get legal citizenship. Oh really? Does an escaped prisoner deserve a chance to continue living outside jail? If we reward the criminal crossing of our border by millions of Mexicans, won’t that encourage more illegals to come? Jimmy Carter granted an amnesty in the ’70s. That did not solve the problem. Bill Clinton granted an amnesty in 1995. That did not solve the problem. Just eleven years later we have an estimated 20 million additional illegal aliens. An amnesty by George Bush will just make the problem worse as earlier amnesties have done. We could be looking at 50 million illegal aliens in the next ten years.
Third World people bring with them Third World moral standards –if any. The popular picture of the poor, persecuted little immigrant is that he is some humble Jose who just wants to come here and work and work like a dog mowing lawns or serving up burgers in order to “make a better life” for himself and his family. This is baloney. Mexico thanks to its inept government produces millions more people than their economy can support. The United States is the dumping ground for this excess population. We are literally being forced to pay for another nation’s mistakes. Mexico needs birth control. China and India have enforced birth control on their populations and so should the Latino factory to the south. The US can’t keep absorbing ever greater numbers of Latinos in amnesty after amnesty.
Even the nicest Latinos cost American taxpayers a fortune. Every Latino child born in America gets 12 years of free public education at about $9,000 per student per year. That’s $108,000 for every Latino child. You can bet that Magarita, the waitress at the local family restaurant, isn’t making enough money to pay the tax bill for her children. That bill gets dumped on our heads.
Then there are the criminal Latinos. One horror story involved a Latino raping two nuns in Klamath Falls, Oregon and strangling one of them to death with her rosary beads. A recent news article reports “Police said they are searching for a 21-year-old illegal immigrant accused of raping a 10-year-old family member and leaving her pregnant. Authorities were alerted to the case by a local doctor, who discovered the girl’s pregnancy during a routine medical exam last Friday, Pharr police Lt. Guadalupe Salinas said. The girl was subsequently taken to the Children’s Advocacy Center in Edinburg where she told staff that her 21-year-old relative, Pedro Guzman Muñoz, had raped her, police said. It is the Valley Morning Star’s policy to not identify victims of sexual assault, or their exact relationship to the suspect if the relationship can be used to identify the victim.”
It is VERY common for 12 year old Latino girls to wind up pregnant and it is almost certain that a Latino girl will become pregnant as a teenager. Alcoholism is rife in the Latino population, which no doubt increases the rate of child molestation and incest as well as teenage promiscuity. We have a bad enough problem with sexual predators in America without adding millions of Latino predators. Could some divorced American mom have any peace of mind if she lived in a mixed neighborhood with plenty of Latinos if she had two cute blonde daughters? Wouldn’t those little girls be running a gauntlet every time they left their home?
The old notion of immigrants as bright, eager young folks coming to America with hope in their eyes, eager to work and make wonderful new lives for themselves and be loyal to the red, white and blue is an outdated myth. The Latino world is sufficiently advanced so that any Hispanic person with education, skills and a good work ethic can get a good job in the upper strata of their own country and make a living in their native land. The good ones who might contribute something to American society are rarely the ones who come here. The good ones don’t have to.
The immigrants that we get here are overwhelmingly the overflow of the Third World, the surplus population, frequently thieves and ignorant peasants and child molesters like Guzman, who will break the law and run back across the border to hide from police and then re-enter the United States illegally when he feels safe to do so.
