Dems take Congress; Rush Attacks Bush & GOP
by Jeff Davis

The neocons are turning on George W. Bush like a pack of junkyard dogs, snarling and rending the hapless, drunken midget’s entrails. First there was the deliberate leaking of the January Vanity Fair article, Neo Culpa, a week before the elections, wherein such neocon gurus as Richard Perle and Michael Ledeen and Ken “Cakewalk” Adelman savaged George W. Bush and Donald Rumsfeld, calling them “the most incompetent national security team ever” and accusing Bush of surrounding himself with “women who are in love with him,” including his wife and former Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers and Condoleezza Rice.
Now the latest neocon rat to jump the sinking Bush ship is none other than Mr. pro-Israel himself, Rush Limbaugh. In his November 8th broadcast Rush astounded millions of listeners by going off on an anti-Bush tirade that would have done credit to Cindy Sheehan.
According to a transcript on Limbaugh’s web site, Rush roared into the mike, accusing Bush of getting ready to betray Republican values such as the hated (by Republicans) minimum wage bill. “I’m trying to prepare you here for what is coming,” the gibbering Limbaugh babbled. “You can look for there to be a minimum wage bill.” (Oh, horrors, no! Not a MINIMUM WAGE BILL!!)
On a much more important issue Rush said “The reason we don’t have amnesty and a guest worker program [was] because of the Republicans in the House. Now with Democrats running the place you’re going to get it, and the president’s excited about it. We’re going to get a guest worker program. We’re going to get amnesty. It’s going to be called immigration reform…” Everyone has known Bush is an “open borders” imbecile –all set to betray Americans at the first opportunity. How could the figurehead of the Republican Party be such a wrong-headed individual? About 99 percent of Republicans oppose illegal immigration and the one man to be put up for president is an “open borders” advocate??? Why couldn’t Rush do something about this ticking time bomb?
Limbaugh also proclaimed “Voters who voted yesterday believe that Republicans are the big government party now. How can you blame them? How can you blame them with the Medicare entitlement and with all the education spending, the spending on everything, the lack of discipline on reducing the size and scope of government?”
Good Lord! A United States government actually spending tax dollars on medical care for the (mostly white) elderly and on education for at least some white children? Horror of horrors! I guess elderly people should simply crawl off in a corner and die and that young white kids whose parents can’t afford expensive private schools should grow up among violent blacks and illegal Mexicans, learning to speak and act like them. Country club Republicans don’t think in terms of America as their extended family.
You know, it’s really kind of sickening. The murder of tens of thousands of people in Iraq doesn’t bother the Republicans. The death and maiming of thousands of American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan doesn’t bother Republicans–after all, it’s not THEIR sons and daughters who are dying. It’s the poor white boys and girls from the trailer parks, and the farms of Iowa, and the old coal mining towns of West Virginia, who can’t get jobs when they graduate high school because the illegals have taken them all. These poor Whites find that most scholarships are for “minorities only.” (Funny how people rail about the ancient “whites only” signs from the days of segregation while anti-white discrimination is everywhere today.)
Even if these poor whites do get a college education they’re last in line for jobs behind affirmative action types. These poor whites are the ones who are forced to go into the army to get a paycheck and get some grudgingly-provided medical care for their families at some crumbling VA hospital 100 miles from home. They’re the ones who are dying for this neocon war. Their lives apparently mean little-to-nothing to the likes of Limbaugh, but threaten a Republican’s precious MONEY, and hear them scream and scream and scream!
Rush ranted on: “There hasn’t been in the ideology in the Republican Party, any conservatism for at least two to maybe four years.” Conservatism, no. Neoconservatism, unfortunately yes, by the ton. Limbaugh goes on to say, “People (have been) asking me how I feel all night long….The way I feel is this: I feel liberated, and I’m going to tell you as plainly as I can why. I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don’t think deserve having their water carried….Now I’m liberated from having to constantly come in here every day and try to buck up a bunch of people who don’t deserve it, to try to carry the water and make excuses for people who don’t deserve it.”
Okay, Rush, so as I understand it, up until yesterday you have been acting under orders from the White House or the Republican National Committee or Karl Rove or whoever, “carrying their water,” as you put it, but now you’re not? In other words, you were lying to us up until yesterday about being an independent commentator, but now you’re not going to lie to us any more? Gee. That’s nice of you.
Rush Limbaugh continued: “There have been a bunch of things going on in Congress, some of this legislation coming out of there that I have just cringed at.” Possibly such things as the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act of 2006, and all the other legislation legalizing torture and secret surveillance and secret arrest and detention without trial. He doesn’t seem to mention anything specific in his tirade that he has “cringed at” over the last six years. Basically, he’s just pissed off that the American people seem to have begun to see through neoconservatism and the insane Iraq war. Interestingly enough, mention of such things as the Mark Foley and Ted Haggard buggery scandals were conspicuous by their absence in Limbaugh’s monologue.
Where will Limbaugh jump to now? Limbaugh is left holding the bag for torture, declaring citizens “enemy combatants” and all the other crimes of the neocons. The neocon “masterminds” are of course Jews. Their main goal was to get the US to crush Israel’s enemy, Iraq. Jews historically are the great builders of trap doors or escape hatches. Which way will the fleeing neocons go to get out of the way of the crashing Bush? Will they try to leap onto the back and sink their mind-control tentacles into the brain of John McCain? Or is Hillary Clinton their next vehicle to power? Too bad Rush can’t tell us the truth about the neocons; he might redeem his soul just a little bit.
