Barack Obama Supports Partial Birth Abortion

Obama supports a position so extreme; most mainstream Democrats disagree with him.

Americans know amazingly little about Barack Obama mainly because the mainstream media won’t report on his background. Prior to becoming a US Senator in 2005, Barack Obama was a state senator in the Illinois legislature. What did he do while he was a state senator? Well, he’s most famous for defending Partial Birth Abortion, a highly controversial procedure, which effectively kills a baby during the birth process. As election day draws near, Obama has been sharply losing support among Catholics. It seems his long, unrepentant history of support for this loathsome procedure is finally costing him support.

A Washington Post article reports “Obama’s record on abortion is extreme. He opposed the ban on partial-birth abortion — a practice a fellow Democrat, the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, once called ‘too close to infanticide.’ Obama strongly criticized the Supreme Court decision upholding the partial-birth ban. In the Illinois state Senate, he opposed a bill similar to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which prevents the killing of infants mistakenly left alive by abortion. And now Obama has oddly claimed that he would not want his daughters to be ‘punished with a baby’ because of a crisis pregnancy — hardly a welcoming attitude toward new life.” (more…)
