Media keeps attacking Sarah Palin while giving Obama a pass.

Barack Obama

There has been a storm of mudslinging against Sarah Palin ever since McCain picked her as his running mate. One of the first attacks claimed that she had “faked” her last pregnancy, and that the baby had really been her daughter’s. This smear wasn’t even well thought out. Whoever came up with it, apparently forgot that Sarah Palin had her last child while attending a governors’ convention in Texas. Ms. Palin had also been informed that the child would have Down’s Syndrome, but she stuck with her pro-life principles and delivered the child nonetheless.

Before the first smear had completely disappeared from the Internet, liberals all over the US clutched onto a promising new scandal, which might actually have some substance to it. Governor Palin had fired the ex-husband of her sister. There’s just one little problem with this scandal according an article on the Huffington Post “The Alaska state trooper at the center of a probe into whether Gov. Sarah Palin abused her power says he has ‘made mistakes, and I’ve learned from those mistakes.’ But, in an exclusive interview with CNN, Mike Wooten — Palin’s former brother-in-law — also denies some of the biggest allegations against him, including drinking while driving. ‘I made mistakes. I fessed up to them. I was punished appropriately, and I’m moving on,’ said the 36-year-old, who went through a long, messy divorce and custody battle with Palin’s sister.”

So the trooper in the “Trooper-gate Scandal” says he was “punished appropriately” yet the entire liberal media is striving to keep this story on life supports. Why the fanatical determination to push this story? Wrongly firing a state employee would be a significant abuse of power, which would resonate with the American public. Liberals want it to be true, and they can’t bear to think the story has no merit. Wrongly firing a state trooper is almost as bad as -say- an Arkansas governor cornering a female state worker, dropping his pants and sexually propositioning her. The Democrats would never do something like that!!! (more…)
