Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Tells Immigration: “Back Off”

Antonio Villaraigosa and Mistress Mirthala Salinas

The Hispanic power lobby has become so arrogant and so confident in the coming amnesty which has been promised to them by all three presidential candidates, that local officials now feel confident in flipping Federal law enforcement the bird and telling them to back off from doing their jobs.

According to the Daily Breeze web site, “L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa warned that work-site raids on ‘nonexploitative’ businesses could have a severe impact on the local economy. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is asking federal officials to rethink their policy on workplace immigration crackdowns that involve established businesses and to focus on employers that mistreat workers instead.”

In other words, don’t throw illegal aliens out of the country, give them special treatment to make sure their criminal behavior is easier and more comfortable by harassing employers that are mean to them…a privileged and protected status certainly not enjoyed by any native born American workers, who could probably use some Federal assistance against abusive employers who work them like dogs, pay them subsistence wages and deny them medical benefits. Will the Jews Tolerate Barack Obama?

Liberal Cult Leader Barack Obama

Breitbart News recently reported on the latest Congressional dog and pony show now being put on by neocon General David Petraeus, a completely political general who apparently bases his career on repeating the neocon party line “that the surge is working” and everything’s just rosy in Iraq. The three Presidential candidates all went through their posturing for the media and pretended to “question” Petraeus, as if they or anyone in Congress had either the power or the will to stop him. Obama however did something interesting, or at least he made some interesting noises.

According to Breitbart: “Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Tuesday called for a ‘diplomatic surge’ including talks with US foe Iran, to help stabilize the situation in Iraq. The Illinois Senator battling Hillary Clinton for his party’s nomination called for more pressure on the Iraqi government to embrace political reconciliation and a regional diplomatic surge that includes Iran. ‘We should be talking to them as well,’ Obama told the top US General in Iraq David Petraeus and US ambassador to Baghdad Ryan Crocker.”

Obama also rocked the boat by asking what the minimum criteria was that would be acceptable to get us out of Iraq. Obama asked if we left Iraq and the level of violence stayed at current levels for the Iraqi government would that be acceptable? General Petraeus seemed a little befuddled by this questioning. No one’s supposed to ask any real questions or get anywhere near the heart of the problem. We’re supposed to stay in Iraq and lose more soldiers to honor the soldiers, who have died. And we’ll have to stay even longer to honor the soldiers dying right now. And please don’t anyone bring up the fact that the war was completely illegal and unjustified in the first place. (Actually Obama didn’t mention the legality of the war. That would be Ron Paul territory.) (more…)

America Airlines Cancels 2,400 Flights

Growing Third World incompetence in US coincides with safety violations.

by James Buchanan

American Airlines MD-80

Third World incompetence and irresponsibility is gradually spreading throughout our society. This latest episode with American Airlines is a glaring example of how things have gotten worse. The FAA apparently is still doing its job and issued a directive that all of American Airlines’ MD80 aircraft should have certain wire bundles inspected and replaced if necessary. Apparently, American Airlines just decided to blow off this safety warning despite the chance of a fire breaking out thanks to cracked insulation on the wires. The FAA recently inspected some of American Airlines’ planes and discovered cracked insulation –despite their earlier directive to fix this problem, which led to the grounding of all their MD-80 aircraft. One news article notes that 2,400 flights have been canceled so far.

A recent AFP news article reports “American Airlines said Wednesday it had cancelled over 1,000 scheduled flights because of tests it has had to conduct on wiring fitted to its MD-80 aircraft. The cancellation of hundreds of flights by the carrier caused significant disruption to many travelers who had booked Wednesday flights with American Airlines. ‘We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused our customers,’ American Airline’s chairman and chief executive Gerard Arpey said. ‘American will do whatever it takes to assist those affected by these flight changes and our employees are working hard to ensure that we remain their choice for air travel,’ Arpey said. Officials said the airline was forced to cancel the flights so it could comply with a directive issued by the Federal Aviation Administration relating to the bundling of wires in the wheel well of its passenger jets. American said it had assigned teams of employees to inspect the affected aircraft and ensure they were fully compliant with the government directive and safe to operate. The airline said customers who were disrupted by the cancelled flights could access American Airlines’ website, www.aa.com, to apply for compensation.” (more…)

McCain Fails in Fund Raising

McCain Wants Matching Funds, Again

by James Buchanan

Crazy John McCain

John McCain has had a hard time raising funds. During the fourth quarter of 2007, McCain was scraping bottom with only about five million in donations. McCain announced back then that he would be taking matching funds and received a loan for several million based on matching funds that would be paid by the government.

Despite getting the stamp of approval from the Republican Party (either by horribly ignorant voters or by vote-stealing by Diebold), John McCain is still failing badly to raise adequate funds for a serious presidential bid. A recent article reports “Sen. John McCain raised more than $15 million in March for his presidential campaign, more than any month since he started running. It’s way short of his democratic rivals. He is returning $3 million in donations given for the General election but contributors are being asked to resend the money to his legal fund… Obama raised $40 million for his primary race in March, the majority of which came from small donors. Clinton raised $20 million. Taken together various steps and utterances from McCain insiders over the last few weeks make it clear he intends to accept taxpayer funded matching funds for the general election.”

In the fourth quarter of 2007, McCain was only able to raise one quarter as much money from ordinary Americans as Ron Paul, who pulled in 20 million dollars. Despite this huge disparity in fund-raising ability and despite McCain’s attempt to destroy America with an Amnesty Bill in June of 2007, we were told that a majority of Republicans voted for McCain on Super Tuesday as the primary results were tabulated by Diebold machines all across America. Vote for a Real Conservative: Bob Barr for President

Don’t compromise the 2008 election by supporting liberal McCain

by James Buchanan

Bob Barr

Let’s say you lived in a small town with two restaurants. One of the restaurants is no good and there’s nothing on their menu you like. One day, the good restaurant starts serving up pigeon in place of chicken. Do you just put up with that or do you put your foot down and boycott that restaurant until it gets its act together?

Millions of conservatives must make the decision whether they will eat pigeon on election day or stand by their values and NOT vote for a liberal Republican candidate. Many conservatives and Libertarians were hoping Ron Paul would run as a Libertarian for president so they could send a clear message to the GOP with a protest vote. Well, the election just got a whole lot more interesting because a socially conservative Libertarian in the form of ex-Congressman Bob Barr is running for president on the Libertarian ticket in 2008.

Bob Barr served on the board of the NRA. He forced “sunset clauses” into the Patriot Act. Unfortunately, the scumbags in government voted to renew that act thanks to public apathy about the Bill of Rights. Barr was (illegally) gerrymandered out of his Congressional district. Other independent-minded Congressmen included James Traficant and Sonny Bono. Traficant was framed for a crime and Bono was murdered (disguised as a skiing accident). (more…)

The Barr Factor

Antiwar libertarian Republican continues the Ron Paul Revolution

by Justin Raimondo

Bob Barr

The pollsters are now telling us John McCain could pull it off, with match-ups pitting him against both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton showing the War Party’s favorite son neck-and-neck with the Dems. Aside from the nearly complete meaninglessness of such data at this time, what these polls fail to take into account is one factor likely to have a large – and possibly decisive – impact on the presidential race: I’m talking about the Barr Factor.

Yes, that Barr: the former Georgia Republican congressman who led the Clinton impeachment effort in the House, then later dissented from the red-state fascist tendencies manifested in the PATRIOT Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the Bush White House’s obsession with increasing presidential power, allying with the American Civil Liberties Union to fight the growing power of centralized state authority over our lives.

It looks like Bob Barr has let himself get talked into seeking the presidential nomination of the Libertarian Party: according to my sources, he does so with the full support of Ron Paul. Which means it looks like the Paulian Revolution is not only alive and kicking, it’s also in the best possible position. With conservatives openly disdainful of McCain for all sorts of reasons, most of them conducive to a libertarian spin, the Barr Factor could very well play a major role in accomplishing the two major electoral goals not only of libertarians, but of all the War Party’s most dedicated opponents. McCain Booed as He Begs for Black Votes

McCain apologizes for banning King Holiday, the one good thing he did.

by James Buchanan

Crazy John McCain

Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the biggest false gods in our Politically Correct society. His personal life was disgraceful. The “Reverend King” frequently used prostitutes and plagiarized a large portion of his doctoral thesis. He was a pompous hypocritical windbag, who claimed that he wanted “equality” while his real goal was government-mandated anti-White discrimination. Thanks to him and his gang of fellow travelers and the racial quota system their efforts produced, millions of young Whites have had the door slammed in their faces as they tried to get their first jobs. Millions of middle-aged Whites have been denied promotions also thanks to quotas. Liberals like Hillary, Obama and John McCain don’t care if White people have jobs unfairly stolen from them. They would rather suck up to the Blacks to buy their votes with more jobs and more taxpayer dollars stolen from Whites.

A recent news article reports “McCain spoke in a steady rain outside the Lorraine Hotel where King was slain, which is now the National Civil Rights Museum. McCain was faced with a scattering of boos when said he had erred in the past when he voted as a freshman in Congress against the Jan. 20 holiday celebrating King. ‘Even in this most idealistic of nations, we do not always take kindly to being reminded of what more we can do, or how much better we can be, or who else can be included in the promise of America,’ McCain said. ‘We can be slow as well to give greatness its due, a mistake I made myself long ago when I voted against a federal holiday in memory of King. I was wrong and eventually realized that, in time to give full support for a state holiday in Arizona.’ ” (more…)

Is the Space Program on a Final Downward Spiral?

Challenger Explosion

by Ian Mosley

Could the half-century old determination of the U.S.A. to conquer space, the resolve made in the wake of the launching of the first Sputnik in the 1950s, be finally drawing to a close? With little fanfare, it looks as if the powers that be have begun what will eventually be the final dismantling of NASA.

According to the Associated Press: “More than 8,000 NASA contractor jobs in the nation’s manned space program could be eliminated after the space shuttle program is shut down in 2010, the agency said Tuesday. The number of civil servants is expected to remain roughly the same, but dramatic job cuts are possible among private contractors as NASA transitions to the Constellation program, which is developing the next-generation vehicle and rockets to go to the moon and later to Mars. Constellation isn’t scheduled to begin flights until 2015.”

In the aerospace world the most experienced engineers are often the contract engineers. If they are laid off, that will wipe out most of the talent while leaving mostly paper pushers and quota-hires. The remaining few good engineers will be badly outnumbered and their decisions are often vetoed by managers, who know nothing about engineering. (more…)

Emergency Fed Measures Delay Stock Meltdown

Last Great Depression

by Jeff Davis

The Federal Reserve has temporarily averted a financial meltdown by violating 80 years worth of policy by starting up its printing presses to inject billions more dollars into Wall Street to stop major bank failures. How long this band-aid will hold is anyone’s guess.

The New York Times is celebrating this shaky short-term patch job: “Stocks started the second quarter with a soaring rally on Tuesday that sent the Dow Jones industrial average up nearly 400 points, its best performance in two weeks, as investors found reasons to take heart in a fresh round of mortgage-related write-offs at UBS and Deutsche Bank and a capital infusion at Lehman Brothers, the brokerage firm.”

Those are the latest financial institutions, once thought of as rock-solid, which are now swirling around the bowl and will probably require Bear Stearns-style bailouts. Historians who are sufficiently cynical and unkind might point out that there were a number of spectacular “rallies” in the stock market during the weeks after October 1929, as well. (more…)

Third Graders Plot Attack on Teacher

by James Buchanan

Not South Park

No, this wasn’t an episode of South Park. Third grade students in a public school in Georgia really did plot an attack on their teacher. According to a recent news article “A group of third-graders plotted to attack their teacher, bringing a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape and other items for the job and assigning children tasks including covering the windows and cleaning up afterward, police said Tuesday. The plot by as many as nine boys and girls at Center Elementary School in south Georgia was a serious threat, Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner said. ‘We did not hear anybody say they intended to kill her, but could they have accidentally killed her? Absolutely,’ ”

What’s especially troubling is that one of the conspirators had the job of “cleaning up.” Now wait a second. Cleaning up strongly implies that there was going to be a mess –as in lots of blood everywhere, which of course implies that the little bastards were seriously thinking about killing their teacher or grievously injuring her.
