Petraeus Testimony May Signal Iran Attack

US Coffins

On April 5, the London Telegraph reported that “British officials gave warning yesterday that America’s commander in Iraq will declare that Iran is waging war against the U.S.-backed Baghdad government. A strong statement from Gen. David Petraeus about Iran’s intervention in Iraq could set the stage for a U.S. attack on Iranian military facilities, according to a Whitehall assessment.”

The neocon lackey Petraeus has had his script written for him by Cheney, and Petraeus together with neocon warmonger Ryan Crocker, the U.S. governor of the Green Zone in Baghdad, will present Congress next Tuesday and Wednesday with the lies, for which the road has been well paved by neocon propagandists such as Kimberly Kagan, that “the U.S. must recognize that Iran is engaged in a full-up proxy war against it in Iraq.”

Don’t expect Congress to do anything except to egg on the attack. On April 3, the AP reported that senators and representatives have made millions of dollars from their investments in defense companies totaling $196 million. Rep. Ike Skelton, the Democratic chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, is already on board with the attack on Iran. The Telegraph quotes Skelton: “Iran is the bull in the china shop. In all of this, they seem to have links to all of the Shi’ite groups, whether they be political or military.” (more…)

Some News Reporters as Sleazy as Politicians

Richard Quest

It would appear as if politicians in New York and New Jersey are not the only people with grotty personal lifestyles to conceal.

According to the New York Times: “Richard Quest, a reporter and business travel specialist for CNN, is being arraigned today on a misdemeanor charge of drug possession after the authorities said he was found with methamphetamine in Central Park. Mr. Quest was arrested early Friday morning after being escorted out of Central Park for violating the park curfew, a law enforcement official said Friday. The park is closed from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m…The police noticed Mr. Quest at 64th Street and West Drive at about 3:40 a.m., the official said. As he was being escorted out, he volunteered, ‘I have meth in my pocket,’ according to an official briefed on the case. The police searched him and recovered a small amount of methamphetamine in a Ziploc bag.”

Just how drugged up does someone have to be to volunteer the fact that he has meth in his pocket? Bright boy.

The New York Times article continues “Mr. Quest is a high-profile correspondent for CNN International, known for feature reports and profiles. CNN calls Mr. Quest, who is British, one of the network’s ‘most instantly recognizable members. He hosts CNN Business Traveler and a feature program titled “Quest” for the news network. CNN had no immediate comment.”

I wonder if his “Business Traveler” show includes tips on how to find a drug dealer at four o’clock in the morning in Central Park. (more…)

Third World Food Time Bomb

Starving Native in Haiti

A genuine demographic time bomb has suddenly made its appearance on the international stage: famine, one of the original “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.” Industrialized nations such as the United States and Europe are experiencing sudden food price hikes, but the black and brown peoples of the Third World cannot feed their swelling populations and they are beginning to riot.

The International Herald Tribune reports “Hunger bashed in the front gate of Haiti’s presidential palace. Hunger poured onto the streets, burning tires and taking on soldiers and police. Hunger sent the country’s prime minister packing. Haiti’s hunger, that burn in the belly that so many here feel, has become fiercer than ever in recent days as global food prices spiral out of reach, spiking as much as 45 percent since the end of 2006 and turning Haitian staples such as beans, corn and rice into closely guarded treasures.”

Haiti is so short on food they are literally making “food” out of dirt. One news report notes “In Haiti’s worst slum, Cite Soleil, people actually make and eat mud pies. Now, the dust is collected from the central region of Haiti in an area called Hinche. It’s mixed with water. Here, Myriene Vincent and her son Onelove work, pushing the dirt through a cheesecloth, separating it from twigs and stones and mixing it into a batter.” (more…)

US Army Looking for a Few Good Ugandans

Uganda Soldiers

It is generally recognized by historians that one of the reasons ancient Rome fell was because Roman citizens became too weak, effete and selfish to serve in their own armed forces. Increasingly they recruited soldiers from frontier provinces with only marginal loyalty to Rome. Well, the American Empire has carried this to an extreme.

According to the Nation newspaper in Nairobi, Kenya, the United States is now openly recruiting soldiers in Uganda, Idi Amin’s old stomping grounds. A recent news article reports “Ugandans who want a career in the United States military, can sign up at the annual convention of the Uganda North American Association, organisers say. American military recruiters will set up a booth at this year’s UNAA convention in Orlando, Florida, and seek out professional Ugandans, said Lt. Frank Musisi, himself an officer in the US Army. Lt. Musisi, who comes from Kalangala District on Lake Victoria, is the current president of UNAA. He said the US military would also advise Ugandans on the “proper channels” to follow in enlisting. The announcement, which is also on the UNAA website (www.unaa.net), is set to cause a rush to this year’s convention that takes place from August 29 to September 1.” (more…)

Child Molesting Scandal in Judaism

Jewish media will never give their tribe the same criticism as the Catholic Church.

by Ian Mosley

Rabbi Horowitz

How, exactly, has it come about that certain Jews are immune from the law?

A recent news article reports that former rabbi Edward Schlaeger was found with two compact discs loaded with child pornography. Child porn laws are one of the few remaining morality laws that are enforced in this country. Can you imagine any Gentile getting found with two CDs of kiddie porn and not going to prison? Does anyone seriously think that if this character were a Christian minister or a Catholic priest (especially the latter) he wouldn’t have been crucified in the media on prime time?

And whatever happened to that rabbi who was successfully entrapped by “To Catch A Predator” on television, coming into a house expecting to have sex with a child? That case seems to have dropped right out off the radar.

A Google search of “rabbi child molester” finds no shortage of articles. One website reports “Convicted sex offender Yechiel Brauner is back on the streets again after his latest arrest. Brauner who is currently on probation for fondling a 15 year-old boy in a hearst on the way to his grandmother’s levaya is now again in trouble for allgedly falsifying documents, conspiring to rob a dying old woman of her home and for failing to report that he was a sex offender when he applied for his notary public. Brauner was released on $85,000 bail…” (more…)

Food Prices Leaping Sky High

Food Prices Leaping Sky High

Not only are Americans defaulting on their mortgages, soon they won’t be able to pay their grocery bills.

According to the Associated Press, “The U.S. is wrestling with the worst food inflation in 17 years, and analysts expect new data due on Wednesday to show it’s getting worse. That’s putting the squeeze on poor families and forcing bakeries, bagel shops and delis to explain price increases to their customers.”

AP goes on: “U.S. food prices rose 4 percent in 2007, compared with an average 2.5 percent annual rise for the last 15 years, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. And the agency says 2008 could be worse, with a rise of as much as 4.5 percent. Higher prices for food and energy are again expected to play a leading role in pushing the government’s consumer price index higher for March….For the U.S. poor, any increase in food costs sets up an either-or equation: Give something up to pay for food. For some, that means adding an extra cup of water to their soup, watering down their milk, or giving their children soda because it’s cheaper than milk….” (more…)

Phoenix Mayor Calls in FBI to Protect Illegals

by Jeff Davis

Popular Sheriff Joe Arpaio

One of the few recent success stories in the American illegal immigration crisis has been enforcement of the law by local and state authorities in Arizona, with a consequent drop-off in the numbers of illegals who are hiding in that state and stealing its resources. It was only a matter of time before the rich men in expensive suits who want the illegals here (the liberals and “John McCain” Republicans) struck back to protect the cheap labor that they love so much.

According to Yahoo News: “The mayor [of Phoenix] wants the FBI to investigate whether the local county sheriff has violated any civil rights laws with his recent high-profile crackdowns on illegal immigrants. The saturation patrols have drawn protests from civil rights and immigrant-rights advocates, but they have drawn support from backers of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and from people who believe the government hasn’t done enough against illegal immigration.”

Now wait a second. Why shouldn’t the federal government be PROSECUTING the mayor of Phoenix for violating the law by aiding and abetting criminals, who broke our law by illegally crossing the border? (more…)

Hillary Portrays Herself as a Pro-Gun Churchgoer

by Jeff Davis

Hillary Clinton

Before she becomes totally irrelevant (as if that hasn’t happened already), I thought I’d write another article about Hillary. The mainstream media is still pretending she can make up those 130 delegates she needs to tie Obama, but I seriously doubt it. It seems obvious the mainstream media is pretending the Democrat primary isn’t settled so they can keep reporting on it for as long as possible.

One of the more amusing things about the present extended Democratic primary is watching the incredible lengths of contortion to which Hillary Clinton will go in search of a single vote. This woman will do or say anything to win, and at times it’s downright funny. I suppose that’s about the last thing that can be said for our electoral system–every four years it forces these bestial politicians to make ridiculous public statements, dress up in duck-hunting gear and do the sorts of things, they must really hate to do.

According to the New York Times, Mommy Dearest is now posing as a church-going, pro-gun conservative in Indiana and Pennsylvania and North Carolina. If that isn’t sufficiently grotesque, I don’t know what is. The Times reports “Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton managed to co-opt Mr. Obama’s message of hope and optimism, beginning a speech in Valparaiso, Ind., by talking about how positive and fundamentally optimistic Americans are. ‘We don’t get bogged down and looking back – we’re always looking forward,’ she said, as heavy applause nearly drowned out her words. ‘Whatever obstacle we see, we get over it. Whatever challenge we have, we meet it. We’re the problem-solvers, we’re the innovators, we’re the people who make the better future.’ ”

It’s truly amazing how good politicians have become at saying absolutely nothing –and getting applause for their issue-evading rhetoric to boot!! (more…)

Admiral Fallon Significant by his Absence at Iraq War Hearing

by Jeff Davis

Bush the Crazy

One of the first signs of a mad tyrant is that he refuses to listen to anyone telling him anything he doesn’t want to hear. U. S. Navy Admiral William Fallon recently resigned as Centcom commander (read forcibly retired). because he refused to go along with the neocon game plan of an unprovoked attack on Iran, was conspicuous by his absence from the latest Congressional dog and pony show put on by neocon flack general David Petraeus and neocon sock puppet Ryan Crocker. Yet by all accounts it was Fallon, the last remaining senior commander in the U.S. military who hasn’t knuckled under to Bush and his little Jewish friends, whom the nation should have been listening to on that day, and not the craven stooge Petraeus.

Fallon was bumped over a month ago. According to Reuters, “Adm. William Fallon, who is resigning after a magazine reported he was challenging the White House over Iran, will not appear before Congress to discuss the war in Iraq…. Only Gen. David Petraeus, top U.S. officer in Iraq, and U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker will go to Capitol Hill in April to update lawmakers on the war, said Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell… ‘I know there have been requests in fact from members of Congress to have Admiral Fallon testify with Gen. Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker and I can tell you Admiral Fallon will not be testifying,’ Morrell said.”

You would think this would send up warning signals, if anybody in the country was paying attention to anything other than Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus. Congress does have the power to subpoena anyone they want to testify before them about anything they want, but I guess those 535 yea-saying leeches figure that would be too rude to our illustrious Little Caesar.
