Ron Paul Fund-Raiser Nets One Million Dollars in Six Days

Paul has one more day left for his current fund-raiser.

by Charles Coughlin

Ron Paul Raises One Million Dollars in Four Days

The Ron Paul campaign decided to end the third quarter with a fund-raiser with a goal of raising half a million dollars. To everyone’s astonishment, the fund-raiser shot through the half million dollar goal, and so the goal was raised to one million dollars.

Once again, Ron Paul’s phenomenal grass roots campaign blew by the million dollar mark today –on day six of the fund-raiser with one more day left in September to bulk up his campaign chest. Anyone interested in helping this great patriot can go here to donate.

About three months ago, when Ron Paul’s campaign pulled in front of John McCain’s with more cash-on-hand, the mass media sat up and took notice. Ron Paul has had ten first place finishes in the straw polls. Ron Paul scored 81 percent of the vote in an Alabama straw poll and 72 percent in a New Hampshire straw poll. Paul has had a large number of finishes in the top three in straw polls.

Great American Ron Paul

Some people argue that these straw poll results simply reflect greater enthusiasm by the Ron Paul crowd. That Ron Paul’s followers are more willing to take the time to go to a straw poll and vote for him. While this may be true, the tremendous enthusiasm of the Ron Paul supporters demonstrates what a great candidate Ron Paul is.

Ron Paul is a modern day Thomas Jefferson. He would repair all the damage done by the criminal Bush-Cheney regime. He would restore habeas corpus and end warrant-less wiretaps. He would solve the problem of terrorism by ending the Iraq War and creating a neutral, balanced policy for the Middle East.

Opinion polls show that there are two extremely powerful issues dominating the 2008 election, namely the Iraq War and the illegal alien problem. The vast majority of Americans want to end the Iraq War and enforce existing border laws. Only Ron Paul is two-for-two on these extremely important issues.

Ron Paul’s remarkable success at fund-raising will finally allow him to start buying nation-wide commercial time to reach a much wider audience than his highly enthusiastic Internet following. Ordinary Americans will finally get to hear the Ron Paul message without the filtering of the mainstream media. One political observer noted that “To know Ron Paul is to love him.” Ron Paul is an incredible idealist, who deserves the support of all patriotic Americans. It’s high time that the evil neocon cabal is swept out of power and the door to the White House slammed shut in Hillary’s face. Ron Paul is the one Republican candidate who can win in 2008 and he represents a new direction for the Republican Party that leads to peace, prosperity and the preservation of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

The “Chosen Ones” Have Chosen –Hillary

Ice Queen Hillary Clinton

Alan Greenspan has let the cat out of the bag. The Jews have made their choice for President in 2008 and it’s–(drum roll)–HILLARY! Greenspan graciously gave the nod to the Sea Hag in an interview in Newsweek magazine, which may be found here if anyone is interested in reading the whole thing. It was part of a boot-licking article Newsweek ran on him, a cover article no less, entitled “The World According to Greenspan,” one of the more revolting recent examples of the establishment media glorifying someone, who did nothing, but co-exist with the prosperity and productivity resulting from corporations created and run by White Christians.

The Federal Reserve has always been headed by a Jew, but it’s “OK” for Jews to have near-monopolies on certain jobs. Greenspan came up with gems like “It appears as though we need a certain degree of turbulence in the financial system to create the stability in the private system.” This is how he describes things like the crashing housing market and the outsourcing of millions of American jobs to the Third World.

The most important thing in the interview was an almost casual, offhand remark: “With the next presidential election imminent, Newsweek asks who he would want to win:…When asked about his view on Hillary Clinton for president he says, ‘Very smart. She is probably everything that everybody says about her. She wouldn’t be a bad president..’” There were some more remarks from Greenspan, some mildly critical, but for those in the know, that was it. The “Chosen Ones” have chosen Hillary. (more…)

Dangerous ‘Hate’ Legislation Passes in the Senate

By Rev. Ted Pike

By a vote of 60 to 39 this morning, Sens. Kennedy and Smith’s hate crimes amendment was attached to the defense authorization act.  After three days of virtual silence, several Republican senators spoke against the bill within the two hours of debate. Sen. Lindsey Graham briefly argued that, if passed, the President will veto the hate bill and arms bill together, jeopardizing timely support of our troops. Sen. Jeff Sessions contended that states are adequately dealing with hate crimes and that Kennedy’s amendment burdens the defense authorization bill. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell, arriving after the debate, was allowed to very briefly state that a hate bill was irrelevant to an arms bill.

The real hero of the day was Sen. Orrin Hatch. Yesterday he stood alone among Republicans to publicly oppose the hate bill. But today he spoke three times with powerful, logical, legal, and constitutional reasons why the hate bill is redundant to state law enforcement, which adequately deals with all kinds of violent crime. He said that gender identity, as put forth in this legislation, is unclear.  Its definition depends on the subjective perceptions of both the hate criminal and the victim. He offered his own amendment (which was later passed unanimously) calling for the federal government to authorize studies to determine if states are adequately enforcing hate crimes laws. (more…)

Oregon Adopts Mexican High School Curriculum

by Jeff Davis

Mexican flag above US flag

In many parts of the United States, while the people are finally beginning to rise in anger against the Mexican invasion, state and local bureaucrats of the liberal persuasion are simply surrendering and helping to integrate America into Mexico.

According to the Northwest News Channel, “Some Oregon high schools are adopting Mexico’s public school curriculum to help educate Spanish-speaking students with textbooks, an online Web site, DVDs and CDs provided free by Mexico to teach math, science and even U.S. history. The Oregon Department of Education and Mexico’s Secretariat of Public Education are discussing aligning their curricula so courses will be valid in both countries. Similar ventures are under way in Yakima, Wash., San Diego, Calif., and Austin, Texas… Mexico has made its national curriculum available to communities across the U.S. since 2001 to encourage Mexican adults and youths to continue an education often abandoned back home due to limited resources. ‘We wanted people to be aware that they have to study,’ said Patricia Ramos, the director of national affairs for Mexico’s Institute for Adult Education and National Advisory of Education for Life and Work. ‘You have to dare to study and make use of technology because that way, it will be easier to adapt to where you now live.’” So in other words, these beaners are here to stay and the Mexican government will kindly help us educate their kids, at our expense, of course. And in Spanish, of course.

Northwest News also notes “In Washington state, nearly 30 schools have already implemented Mexico’s curriculum into the classrooms. In Oregon, learning materials are free, but districts must pay for staff. So far, two computer servers supporting Mexico’s Web site cost the state about $10,000 to install and about $2,200 annually to maintain. One of the biggest challenges will be finding more Spanish-speaking instructors, said Burk of the Oregon Department of Education. He said about 15 percent of Oregon students are Latino, compared with 2 percent of teachers.” (more…)

Throwing Garbage into our Neighbor’s Yard

Illegal Aliens

Well, the United States has finally found a way to deal with our illegal alien problem. Send them to Canada.

The Windsor (Ontario) Star reports: “With city shelters filled and a surge of further refugee claimants expected to flood into Windsor, Mayor Eddie Francis is pleading for financial help from Ottawa. ‘When there is a possibility of adding thousands to the local social assistance system as a result of refugee claimants crossing the border into Windsor, we will become overwhelmed and our current resources will not suffice,’ Francis wrote in a letter sent Wednesday to Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Over the past three weeks, 45 families and 31 individuals — approximately 200 people — entered Canada at the Detroit River crossings and applied in Windsor for shelter and social assistance after filing refugee claims with the Canada Border Services Agency. Municipal agencies dealing with the sudden influx of mainly Mexican refugee applicants are renting out hotel rooms and bracing for predicted thousands more to come.”

Wait a minute. “Entered Canada at the Detroit River crossings?” What, with no money, no passports, no IDs? And I thought the AMERICAN border was wide open!

According to the Star “(Windsor’s panicked mayor says) ‘We don’t have the means, ability or capacity to deal with this additional cost. We are not able to deal with this potential crisis locally…I don’t believe that Windsor’s residents and taxpayers should have to foot the bill for U.S. immigration policy,’ Francis told The Star. He was referring to the suspected source of the problem — a recently begun crackdown on illegal immigrants in economically struggling regions of the U.S. South. With the bulk of the latest arrivals being long-time Mexican illegals dislodged from their homes and workplaces in southwestern Florida, fingers are being pointed at unscrupulous outfits charging money and then directing desperate individuals and their families toward the Windsor border crossing.” (more…)

Iran’s President Treated Rudely; Lieberman Wants War

by James Buchanan

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was invited to speak at Columbia University, but you’d never know he was a guest based on the way he was treated. Ahmadinejad was badgered and insulted with a long list of neocon lies. The Jewish media has been shamelessly smearing Iran, claiming that the Iranians were supplying the Iraqi rebels with weapons. The truth is that the Iraqis looted arms depots that went unguarded because Bush, Perle and Wolfowitz went into Iraq with too few troops. The Iraqi rebels have been using these weapons to attack our troops ever since.

The neocon accusations include a claim that Iran is making copper hemi-spheres for use in road-side bombs. Considering that there are millions of Iraqis sitting around doing nothing because we ruined their economy, perhaps some Iraqis surfed around the Internet and figured out that copper hemi-spheres might enhance their roadside bombs. Previously, the neocons accused the Iranians of supplying mortar shells to the Iraqis, but the shells they showed the public had Western markings instead of Farsi. The neocon claims always seem to fall apart if they are required to show the public their so-called evidence.

Ahmadinejad patiently responded to the rude treatment and numerous slanders. He pointed out that Iran wanted to pursue peaceful nuclear energy production. (Iran has rich uranium deposits and the US had no objections to Iran building nuclear reactors in the ’70s when the Shah was in power.)

Ahmadinejad responded to questions about the Holocaust by noting: “There are researchers who want to approach the topic from a different perspective. Why are they put into prison? Right now, there are a number of European academics who have been sent to prison because they attempted to write about the Holocaust or research it from a different perspective, questioning certain aspects of it. My question is: Why isn’t it open to all forms of research?” (more…)

Kerry Complicit in Bush’s Crimes

by Paul Craig Roberts

John Kerry

Naïve Americans who think they live in a free society should watch the videos filmed by students at a John Kerry speech Sept. 17, Constitution Day, at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

At the conclusion of Kerry’s speech, Andrew Meyer, a 21-year-old journalism student, was selected by Sen. Kerry to ask a question. Meyer held up a copy of BBC investigative reporter Greg Palast’s book Armed Madhouse and asked if Kerry was aware that Palast’s investigations determined that Kerry had actually won the election. Why, Meyer asked, had Kerry conceded the election so quickly when there were so many obvious examples of vote fraud? Why, Meyer went on to ask, was Kerry refusing to consider Bush’s impeachment when Bush was about to initiate another act of military aggression, this time against Iran?

At this point the public’s protectors – the police – decided that Meyer had said too much. They grabbed Meyer and began dragging him off. Meyer said repeatedly “I have done nothing wrong,” which under our laws he had not. He threatened no one and assaulted no one.

But the police decided that Meyer, an American citizen, had no right to free speech and no constitutional protection. They threw him to the floor and Tasered him right in front of Kerry and the large student audience, who captured on video the unquestionable act of police brutality. Meyer was carted off and jailed on a phony charge of “disrupting a public event.” (more…)

Illegals Running To Court Again

by Jeff Davis

Supreme Court Building

What do liberals and lefties always do when they can’t get what they want via the normal legislative or political process? They go running to the courts. Now the illegal aliens are taking a leaf out of the old liberal playbook in order to win the “right” to break the law with impunity. Various Hispanic pressure groups have already gone running to the courts in order to prevent local authorities in various places around the country from enforcing the law. Now they’re doing it on a Federal level, and they’re targeting the Immigration Department (ICE) itself.

The Associated Press tells the tale: “Immigration authorities violated Hispanic families’ civil rights by raiding their homes without court warrants, sometimes bursting in before dawn to look for people who didn’t live there, according to a federal lawsuit. The suit was filed Thursday on behalf of 15 people—including seven U.S. citizens—who say their suburban homes were raided earlier this year. Arguing that the raids violate constitutional protections against unreasonable searches, the suit seeks unspecified damages and a halt on the home raids until Immigration and Customs Enforcement develops legal guidelines for them.” (In other words give the Bush administration an excuse to stop the few token raids ICE has been carrying out and run out the clock, before he dumps the whole mess in Hillary’s lap.) The Dream Act: A New Illegal Alien Amnesty

by Jeff Davis

Hole in the fence

Those bastards in Congress are doing it again. They’re trying to sneak through a thinly-veiled amnesty for illegal aliens after it has been made crystal clear to them that the American people DO NOT WANT AN AMNESTY and do not want this country turned into Northern Mexico. As always, what we want is being completely ignored by our “lords and masters” in the United States government, who are leaning over and spitting in our faces once again.

The Center for Individual Freedom reports on its web site that “Amnesty for illegal aliens is back–sneaking down the corridors of Congress, tiptoeing into the Senate chamber, hoping to become law before you and I know it’s even there. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) recently warned America that Dick Durbin (D-IL) — one of the Senate’s most left-wing ideologues — and other liberals plan to tack the so-called Dream Act as an amendment onto the 2008 Defense Authorization Bill any day now. The Dream Act, which should really be called Amnesty III will be voted on this week.”

CFIF continues: “Our elected leaders have continually tried to ram amnesty down the throats of the hard-working, tax-paying American people, and twice we have rammed it right back down their throats. And apparently they’ve gotten the message. That’s why they’ve given up on plans to pass amnesty for millions of illegal aliens openly, and are now trying to do it incrementally and under the cover of darkness. The American people oppose amnesty. Democrats know this. So why are our elected officials thumbing their noses at the millions of ordinary people who elected them?” (more…)

Banking Panic Begins In Great Britain

British disaster comes on heels of US sub-prime mortgage crisis.

by Ian Mosley

Fed Rate

There are growing signs that a world-wide financial crisis may be brewing. The recent sub-prime mortgage crisis in the US is now being surpassed by a run on banks over in Britain.

Perhaps, the clearest sign that the “party is over” came on Tuesday, Sep. 18th, when the US Fed cut the prime lending rate by half a percent. This is an extremely significant change signaling that our economy is in serious trouble.

Over the last four years, the federal reserve rate had increased from a low of 1.00 percent in June, 2003, to a recent high of 5.25 percent. An increasing interest rate is a sign of an improving economy. Our economy however is far from stable. We’ve outsourced millions of manufacturing jobs. We’ve piled up a massive nine trillion dollar debt thanks in part to Bush’s empire wars. Millions of Americans have bought overpriced housing over the last several years. Many of these people have variable rate loans. Some of them have “interest only” loans. If the interest rates go up too high, millions of Americans won’t be able to pay off their mortgages. Because the price of housing has dropped, the mortgage companies will lose money each time a borrower goes bankrupt.

The recent near-collapse of America’s largest mortgage lender, Countrywide sent shock waves through Wall Street. If the biggest mortgage company fails, dozens of other mortgage companies could fail, and the whole economy might be dragged down with them. A recent news article reports “The nation’s largest mortgage lender (Countrywide) will hand up to 12,000 of its employees pink slips in the next three months in an effort to stay afloat during the home-loan crisis. After cutting 900 jobs earlier this month and 500 in August, Countrywide Financial Corp. announced last week that up to 20 percent of its nationwide work force could be laid off.”

While cutting the prime rate will ease the pressure on millions of people with variable rate loans, this doesn’t change the fact that housing prices have dropped substantially and millions of people, who were making money by speculating on real estate are effectively out of business and possibly in debt. American jobs continue to be outsourced, and a half percent reduction won’t help a software engineer, who has just lost his high-paying job at MicroSoft as Bill Gates outsources these jobs to India.

The US isn’t the only nation facing a financial disaster. For the first time in over one hundred years, the United Kingdom is experiencing a severe financial panic and a run on banks as British people rush to get their money out of a collapsing financial institution, the British equivalent of our savings and loan associations.
