Tell Senators: Vote “No on Amnesty, No on Cloture”

Last chance to kill Amnesty Bill with filibuster on Thursday June 28th

by James Buchanan

This man will be out of work after next election

Why hasn’t the Senate killed the Amesty Bill yet? The American public has been screaming at the Senate for weeks to kill off the evil Amnesty Bill. Yet, the Senate appeared to prefer listening to a lame duck president rather than the people who will be voting them out of power at the next election.

Perhaps a few Senators had some strange delusion about this bill. There were stories that a number of Senators thought their amendments would be added onto the bill, and they literally got suckered into voting to bring back the Amnesty Bill.

The only worthwhile amendment (which would have taken the amnesty out of the bill) was defeated so it’s hard to imagine why any other amendment would be important.

While the American public wants the bill to be killed immediately, the Senate is dabbling about and rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic while missing the most important point.

There’s one thing the average Senator needs to know: The biggest factor that will determine if a Senator is voted out of office for the next six years will be how that Senator votes on the Amnesty Bill.

We’re sick and tired of the Senate keeping this bill alive. Any Senator who votes “yes on cloture” (to keep the bill alive) will be considered a “yes on Amnesty” Senator. We don’t care how you planned to vote on the final bill. We will condemn you based on your vote on cloture. If 41 Senators vote “no on Cloture” tomorrow and kill the Amnesty Bill, and you vote “yes on cloture,” you’re done!!! You will be voted out of power in the next election. We will remind voters of how you voted; just as we rallied people to fill up your phone lines for the last few weeks. (more…)
