Slouching Toward Gomorrah: Mary Cheney’s Spawn

Vice President Dick Cheney

WorldNetDaily reports that “Mary Cheney, the lesbian daughter of Vice President Dick Cheney, became a mother today when she gave birth to a baby boy. Samuel David Cheney was born at 9:46 a.m., weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces, at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C. Samuel is the sixth grandchild for Vice President Cheney. ‘The vice president is pleased to be a grandfather for the sixth time,’ spokeswoman Megan McGinn said. According to reports, Mary’s homosexual partner of 15 years, Heather Poe, ‘will have no legal relationship with her child. She can’t adopt as a second parent. She won’t have her name on the birth certificate.’ ”

And why can’t Heather Poe have any legal relation to the child? Because Gay Marriage is illegal in the civilized world.

There is no word as to what anonymous sperm donor is the father of this little boy. This is the first time in US history when the grandchild of a Vice President has an unknown father. It has not been stated whether the little boy’s birth certificate will have any name at all listed under “father.” Apparently it is not in the works that little Samuel Cheney will ever even know who his father is. All of his childhood he will be deprived of the love and guidance and companionship and presence of a father. One wonders if Mary Cheney would have become a lesbian if her father spent more time with his family and less time with Halliburton and politics. (more…)

Racial Honesty and Politics

Crazy Bush

By banning people who speak the truth from the political process, our political system guarantees that a high percentage of idiots will populate our government. If they aren’t idiots, then they are deliberate liars, who pretend to believe things which aren’t true (which is possibly even worse than being an idiot). Back during the days of the Founding Fathers, if some crazy White person believed that Blacks were intellectually and morally equal to Whites, he would live out his life as the village idiot. Today, the village idiot with his delusional beliefs can become a city council member, mayor, Senator or even president.

Most reasonably brave, intelligent people will realize early in life that Blacks aren’t equal to Whites. They will also realize that our society punishes people who tell the truth about a multitude of taboo subjects. The Blacks have a smaller average brain size than Whites. Blacks evolved in an environment where food is available all year round so there’s less pressure to evolve. White people needed to plan ahead and work with each other to get through the snowy winters of Europe. Evolution produced a more intelligent, creative race in Europe. No amount of proof or logic will permit this extremely important truth to get the recognition it deserves, especially in politics. (more…)

Congress Still Wants to Pass an Amnesty

Senator Feinstein says she needs 30,000 calls against Immigration Bill to impress her

There’s something about Memorial Day that puts most Americans into a detached sort of trance. This is the first holiday in 2007 with good weather for many Americans and dreams of barbeques and camp outs seem to blot out everything else. Our incredibly crooked politicians realize how disinterested the average American is in politics at this time of year. It was no accident that George W. Bush and Ted Kennedy conspired together to try to ram through an amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens while Joe Sixpack was enjoying some warm weather and a three day weekend.

While the Immigration Bill did draw some (brief) intense opposition, there is every sign that pro-amnesty politicians are still hoping to push this bill through. An attempt to take the amnesty out of the Immigration Bill was defeated. We do NOT need immigration reform. We need immigration enforcement. These disingenuous politicians who pretend to be shocked at the “mess” that exists today in the form of 20 million illegals, never mention the fact that they have helped to undermine the Border Patrol at every turn. We would never have accumulated 20 million illegals if the Border Patrol weren’t deliberately underfunded and undermanned by the federal government. The federal government could literally crush any local authority who gave “sanctuary” to illegal aliens. The mayor of Los Angeles could be tossed in a federal prison for protecting illegal aliens and defying federal law if we had a president who opposed illegal immigration.

Some politicians are even talking about transferring US Border Patrol Agents to the Iran-Iraq border. Excuse me!! The US government is supposed to safeguard the borders of the US, not the borders of some Third World nation, which we have occupied under false pretenses in violation of International Law. (more…)

On Patriotism

by Rep. Ron Paul

Ron Paul

For some, patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. For others, it means dissent against a government’s abuse of the people’s rights.

I have never met a politician in Washington or any American, for that matter, who chose to be called unpatriotic. Nor have I met anyone who did not believe he wholeheartedly supported our troops, wherever they may be.

What I have heard all too frequently from various individuals are sharp accusations that, because their political opponents disagree with them on the need for foreign military entanglements, they were unpatriotic, un-American evildoers deserving contempt.

The original American patriots were those individuals brave enough to resist with force the oppressive power of King George. I accept the definition of patriotism as that effort to resist oppressive state power.

The true patriot is motivated by a sense of responsibility and out of self-interest for himself, his family, and the future of his country to resist government abuse of power. He rejects the notion that patriotism means obedience to the state. Resistance need not be violent, but the civil disobedience that might be required involves confrontation with the state and invites possible imprisonment. (more…)

Will the GOP Destroy Itself Before It Destroys America?

by Paul Craig Roberts

Crazy Bush

As everyone except for a dwindling band of Bush supporters now knows, the U.S. is in a terrible situation in Iraq from which it cannot extract itself. For Bush and Cheney, their own pride and delusion are more compelling than U.S. casualties, the destruction of Iraq and its people, and the inflaming of sectarian strife and anti-American violence throughout the Middle East.

Congress is complicit in the great strategic blunder. Republican flag-wavers led Americans like lemmings into the abyss. The Democrats have already abandoned the electorate that gave them control of Congress six months ago in the false hope that the Democrats would corral the White House moron and lead America out of the abyss.

Like the Republicans, the Democrats serve the few special interest groups that benefit, or believe that they benefit, from the war. By now we all know who these groups are: the oil industry, the military-security complex, and the Israel Lobby, AIPAC. This contrived war, based on lies and deception, serves no other interest.

There is no longer any question whatsoever, not a single sliver of doubt, that Americans were deceived into this disastrous war. The president of the United States lied to the American people, as did the vice president, the national security adviser, the secretary of state, the secretary of defense, the deputy secretary of defense, the undersecretary of defense, and every neoconservative in the Bush administration, think tanks, and media. How Can Bush Free Iraq When He Brings Tyranny to America?

Armored Stryker Vehicle Destroyed by Roadside Bomb in Iraq

The Washington, DC, think-tank, The American Enterprise Institute, camouflages its purpose with its name. There is nothing American about AEI, and the organization’s enterprise is fomenting war in the Middle East against Israel’s enemies. Its real name should be The Likud Center for Middle East War.

AEI has the largest collection of warmongers in America. AEI “scholars” have agitated for war in the Middle East for years. A moronic president and 9/11 gave them their opportunity. Now that the US invasions and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan have failed, the AEI warmongers are conspiring with Vice President Cheney to foment war with Iran.

Writing in the Washington Note, Steven C. Clemons reports that Cheney is working with the AEI warmongers to short-circuit the efforts of Bush’s secretaries of defense and state to find a diplomatic solution. Clemons reports that one former high level national security official describes the Cheney-AEI conspiracy as possibly an act of “criminal insubordination” against President Bush.

Now that the Democrats have betrayed their mandate of last November to end Bush’s war against Iraq and given Bush carte blanche to continue the gratuitous bloodshed, the neoconservative plan, spearheaded by Vice President Cheney, to initiate aggression against Iran, is back on the front burner.

Disinformation is being fed to the media that Iran is responsible for attacks on US troops in Iraq. This disinformation is routinely reported without skepticism by the American media in the face of challenges from experts. For example, a recent British report concludes: “few independent analysts believe Tehran is playing a decisive role in the sectarian warfare and insurgency.” (more…)

It’s Not What they Say; It’s What they Do

Massive Iraq Embassy Compound

The key to understanding what is going on in the minds of our lords and masters in Washington DC is to look at what they DO, not what they SAY. Judging by what they DO. Using this criteria, it is crystal clear the United States has no intention of EVER leaving Iraq.

As always, we have to turn to foreign newspapers for information on what the United States is doing. This information no longer makes it into the American news media. The Guardian newspaper in the U. K. reports on the ongoing construction of the mammoth United States Embassy in Baghdad: “The compound, by the side of the Tigris, would be a statement of President Bush’s intent to expand democracy through the Middle East. Yesterday, however, the entire project was under fresh scrutiny as new details emerged of its cost and scale. Rising from the dust of the city’s Green Zone it is destined, at $592m (£300m), to become the biggest and most expensive US embassy on earth when it opens in September. It will cover 104 acres (42 hectares) of land, about the size of the Vatican. It will include 27 separate buildings and house about 615 people behind bomb-proof walls.”

The bureaucratic peons among our empire’s busy civil servants will be compelled to live rough. The Guardian reports that “Most of the embassy staff will live in simple, if not quite monastic, accommodation in one-bedroom apartments. The US ambassador, however,” (read Imperial Viceroy in Iraq) “will enjoy a little more elbow room in a high-security home on the compound reported to fill 16,000 square feet (1,500 sq metres). His deputy will have to make do with a more modest 9,500 sq ft. ‘They will have a pool, gym and communal living areas, and the embassy will have its own power and water supplies.’ ” (more…)

The Brits Are Pulling Out

Iraq War

Looks like the last major member of the “coalition of the willing” is no longer quite so willing. The highly respected “Scotland on Sunday” newspaper reports that “New British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will remove all British forces from Iraq before the next election under a plan to rebuild support among disillusioned Labour voters. Scotland on Sunday can reveal the Prime Minister elect is working on a withdrawal plan that could see troop numbers slashed from 7,000 to as few as 2,000 within 12 months. If implemented, the strategy would culminate in total withdrawal no later than spring 2010, the date by which Brown must go to the country to seek his own mandate….Senior ministers last night confirmed that an accelerated draw-down of troops could be “comfortably achieved” well within two years, by which time Brown is expected to be preparing for an electoral showdown with David Cameron.”

The Scottish newspaper goes on: “Under the blueprint for withdrawal announced by Blair in February, the 7,100 British troops currently in Iraq would be reduced to 5,000 by late summer, with an aspiration to reduce gradually over the following two years. But the military plans sparked by the looming change at the top involve cutting the British presence more rapidly: to 4,000 by late summer and perhaps 2,000 to 3,000 by the year end. The ultimate hope is to draw down to a ‘nominal’ force within 18 months, and a virtually complete exit within two years of Brown coming to power.”

Note the use of the term “draw down” rather than “pull out” or “cut and run” which would be more germane to the situation. It is not estimated how many British soldiers will have to die during this “phased draw-down” in order to maintain the pretense of not running away. This will fool no one. The British and the American armies were confronted by determined insurgents who could not be stopped. Anyone who did a little research on Iraq would find out that a British occupation in the 1920s was abandoned because it required a large occupation force, casualties were high and “winning” (or stopping the insurgency) was impossible. Why Aren’t Conservatives Attacking Immigration Bill More?

by Charles Coughlin

Border Security Under George Bush

The Immigration Bill before Congress will destroy America as we know it. The Senate has already voted to ban any filibuster. The Bill could be passed in as little as two to three weeks. Not only will 20 million illegals get citizenship, but their relatives will get Z-class visas. Even worse, a larger invasion of illegal aliens will follow. These 20 million illegal aliens showed up in America in the 12 years since Bill Clinton’s 1995 “Citizenship USA” amnesty. If we give amnesty to the current illegal aliens, we will be invaded by 50 million more illegals over the next 12 years.

Given this information, why on earth are so many conservative talk show hosts making such a feeble effort in the fight against the Immigration Bill?? Any true patriot should be glued to this issue and encouraging his audience to lobby Congress on a daily basis until the Bill is dead. Are conservatives afraid to mention the fact that George W. Bush will sign this piece of treason and that the Republican president is part of the problem? Is their loyalty to Bush interfering with the need to attack this Immigration Bill with ruthless determination?

I was listening to various conservative talk radio programs to see if they were pounding the Immigration Bill. Most of the talk show hosts, I heard, were wandering off topic if they were talking about it all. Rush Limbaugh made a few brief mentions of the Immigration Bill yesterday, but today he was going on about how “justified” the Iraq War was and how there really were WMD’s in Iraq. Get a grip on reality, Rush!! You’re on the Titanic heading for the iceberg and you’re talking about the dinner menu!! (more…)

Senate Votes 69 to 23 against Filibuster; Republican Senators Refuse to Put Up a Fight

by James Buchanan

Bush and Best Friend

If an anti-abortion bill were being put up for a vote, you can bet your last dollar the Democrats would dig in their heels in and do everything they can to stop it, including a filibuster. Right now we have a president who is clinically insane when it comes to the issue of immigration. The House and Senate are controlled by Democrats who see 20 million illegal alien Mexicans as likely future Democrat voters. So why the heck didn’t the sane people in the Republican Party make a serious effort to stop the Immigration Bill with a filibuster??? Are most of our Senators too cowardly and traitorous to care about what America looks like in ten years?

Instead of fighting to get the 41 votes necessary for a filibuster, our Senators voted 69 to 23 for “cloture” which means that a filibuster has now been ruled out. The Republicans still have 48 Senators. It’s true that McCain is crazy and Arlen Specter is a disguised liberal, but what about the other 46? What is wrong with them? Couldn’t 41 out of the sane 46 Republicans realize that they need to stop this Immigration Bill now? And why did 8 Senators refuse to vote? Was the issue of destroying America with illegal aliens too unimportant for them?

Thanks to the cowardice of the Senate, we are faced with one of the worst threats America has ever had to face. The future of America now rests on whether we can get over 50 percent of the House to vote against the Immigration Bill.

For a short list of what will happen if 20 million illegal aliens get amnesty consider the following: (more…)
