Why Does Anyone Still Support Bush?

Can you really trust these two?

Bush hit a new low of 29 percent for job approval in a recent poll. Given the fiasco in Iraq, the nearly nine trillion dollar national debt and the twenty million illegal aliens in the US, whom Dubya wants to give a guest worker amnesty, why does anyone still support George Bush? Who are these people in that 29 percent of Americans, who keep drinking the neocon Kool Aide no matter what happens?

While the image of Bush as a folksy pro-gun decent guy, who’ll stand against insanity like Gay marriage, helped get him elected in 2000, Bush’s commitment to conservative ideals or even the Bill of Rights has been dreadful. Not even the most fervent opponent of George W. Bush in the year 2000 would have predicted that he would be rationalizing torture, spying on Americans without warrants and sacrificing the lives of our soldiers for his legacy. (more…)
