Disgraceful Bill Allows Torture and Worse

The Future of America

The latest “security” bill passed by Congress allows the Bush administration and its successors to arrest anybody they want and hold them without trial, secretly and indefinitely, simply by labeling them “unlawful combatants.” The new law will eventually apply to ordinary Americans if it doesn’t already. The law may be interpreted to include “non-physical aid and assistance to terrorism.”

According to a Reuters news article “The United States could detain more foreigners as enemy combatants under legislation Congress will debate this week after a last-minute change in the bill. Democrats complained that Republicans quietly made several changes to the bill defining procedures for trying foreign terrorism suspects after an agreement last week between the White House and a group of dissident Republican senators… Senator Graham of South Carolina said the term ‘enemy combatant’ also would apply to those fighting a U.S. ally… ‘We’re making sure that an enemy combatant could be defined as something other than a front-line troop,’ Graham said. ‘We want to make sure that giving material aid and support to terrorism would put you in the enemy combatant category.’ ” (more…)

Pro-Zionist Evangelicals Versus Reality

by Charles Coughlin

There is a truly bizarre religious movement in America in which a significant number of Protestant Christians have somehow twisted around some of the most important points of Christianity.

First of all, millions of these evangelicals believe that the Jews are still “God’s Chosen people.” The fact that the Jews rejected Christianity and murdered the Son of God in a cold, calculated plot, apparently goes in one ear and out the other. To this day, Judaism teaches all the little Jewish children that Jesus was a false prophet.

Apparently a little thing like blasphemy can’t stop these evangelicals from practically worshipping the same Jewish race that plotted against and murdered Jesus Christ. For crying out loud, the Muslim nations of the world are ideologically closer to Christians than the Jews. At least the Muslims consider Jesus a prophet. But for reasons that only a skilled psychiatrist might diagnose, millions of Americans are all for a global war against Muslims on behalf of the same Jews, who openly blaspheme against Jesus in synagogues all over the US. Illegal Murders Cop, Police Chief Blames Feds

Bush Loves Illegals

The level of violent crime by illegal immigrants against white Americans has reached epidemic proportions matched only by the crime rate of blacks against whites, and yet the appalling bloodshed and damage these Third Worlders cause has been completely swept under the carpet except on the rare occasions when they go too far–like killing a cop.

According to an ABC News article “Juan Leonardo Quintero, an illegal immigrant, has been charged with killing a Houston police officer last week after a routine traffic stop. Police Chief Harold Hurtt blamed the federal government for failing to secure U.S. borders.”

Boy, ain’t THAT a switch from the usual bureaucratic waffling on the subject! (more…)

Some Bravery Left in Braveheart?

Mel Gibson

To everyone’s surprise, and in my case astonishment, Braveheart seems to be bounding back after an initial bout of groveling. According to a number of media articles over the weekend, Mel Gibson has returned to the spotlight to promote his upcoming movie “Apocalypto” and to criticize the war in Iraq, which comes perilously close to repeating his criticism of the Jews since the Iraq war is being fought in the interests of Israel and not the United States.

According to a Reuters article “Almost two months after he railed against Jews when he was arrested for driving drunk in Malibu, the actor made a surprise appearance Friday at Fantastic Fest, an event in Austin, Texas, devoted to new science fiction, horror and fantasy films, the trade paper said in its Monday edition. He presented a work-in-progress screening of his Mayan adventure tale, and then took questions. About one-third of the full house gathered for the film gave him a standing ovation.” According to an eyewitness who had a view of the entire audience, the standing ovation included 60 percent of the crowd. Hungarians Deal with Lying Politician

V for Vendetta

What do you do about dishonest and corrupt politicians? In America, there’s not much we can do. We can write our Congressman, or call up some radio talk show and complain or come election day we can switch to the second party of criminals and incompetents instead of the ones we voted for last time, and that’s about it. In Eastern Europe, astonishingly, there are still some white people who have a little testosterone left. (Yeah, amazing, ain’t it?)

The BBC reports that several days ago, “Protesters tried to storm Hungary’s state TV station after Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany admitted his party had lied to win an election. They used stones to attack the TV HQ in the capital Budapest, demanding to be allowed to broadcast their grievances.” Hey, maybe they’re onto something! (more…)

Will Lunatic Bolton Be Fired?

John Bolton

Could it be–could it just possibly be–that Congress is on the verge of re-discovering something remotely resembling a spine, and deep-sixing one of the worst embarrassments that the neocons have inflicted on America and the world, our ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton?

The Times of London reports that “John Bolton, President Bush’s controversial Ambassador to the United Nations, is in danger of losing his job as opposition to his appointment increases in the Senate. Mr Bush’s nomination of Mr Bolton to the UN met such opposition on Capitol Hill last year that he was forced to install him by means of a recess appointment, when Congress was not in session.” (more…)

How Disposable Is Bush to the Neocons?

George Bush

Republican candidates seeking reelection are trying to stay as far as possible from George Bush. Ever since Bush’s dubious reelection in 2004 thanks to electronic voting machines in several key states, Bush has done nothing but foul up.

Bush diverted money from urgent levy repairs around New Orleans for his Iraq War. Bush horribly bungled the post-Katrina response. Everyone remembers his famous remark “Heckuva job, Brownie.” Then there was the insane Harriet Myers nomination to the Supreme Court. Then Bush offered to put the Arab nation of Dubai in charge of five of our biggest ports. Then Iraq lapsed into a civil war despite repeated denials by various neocon hacks. (more…)

As Crazy as It Sounds

George Bush

As crazy as it sounds, President George Bush might be planning to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities.

There are two currents of speculation flowing through Washington these days. One current says that the Bush administration is planning the bombing campaign, but only as a bluff to force the Iranians to negotiate. The other current says that the Bush administration actually plans to launch the attack.

Unfortunately, I think the latter is the accurate one. So far, the Bush administration has eerily followed the exact same pattern it used to justify the attack against Iraq. Bush keeps insisting, without a shred of evidence, that Iran, despite its denials, is seeking nuclear weapons. Remember how he kept insisting that Iraq had huge stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction? (more…)

How Will 2006 Elections Turn Out?

by James Buchanan

Immigration the Big Issue

We are rapidly approaching the 2006 elections. Americans are mad about the pointless war in Iraq and illegal immigration, but will their votes count this time? Of course, there’s the usual problem of the two-party system not giving us a choice. In 2004 we had the pro-war Bush regime and the only slightly less pro-war John Kerry. Neither candidate talked much about immigration then. Added to this was the widespread appearance of Diebold electronic voting machines.

Many Americans have complained that our elections are like professional wrestling matches. Everything is phony, staged, decided in advance and the wrestlers (or politicians) are preordained to lose certain matches and win others depending on how certain behind-the-scenes wire-pullers want things to turn out. Black Kills Three of his Friends, Laughs at Trial

Killer Ulysses Handy

A recent news article reports “Tensions were high in a Tacoma courtroom Wednesday when a man who pleaded guilty to killing three people told the victims’ families to ‘get over it.’ Ulysses Handy, 24, will spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty to murder charges to avoid a possible death penalty. He shot 28-year old Darren Christian, 20-year old Daniel Varo and 21-year old Lindy Cochran to death in February during a robbery at a Tacoma home. The three were his friends. Handy smirked in court as relatives of the victims talked about their loss. When it was his turn to speak, Handy said he was asking for no sympathy because he doesn’t have any. Handy showed no remorse as he addressed the court Wednesday, ‘I feel there’s two types of people in this world, us and them, predator and prey. Well, I’m damn sure not a prey. So, I know there’s people up in here hurt. Well, pain’s a part of life, deal with it, get over it.’ ”

Did the killer Ulysses Handy take advantage of any of the racial quotas for universities and jobs? No. He lived just like a psychotic Black gang member in Los Angeles or New Orleans. He apparently got bored or had a bad day or got too strung out on a new drug and decided to kill three of his FRIENDS just for the fun of it. (more…)
