No, This Is Not ‘Our War’

by Patrick J. Buchanan

My country has been “torn to shreds,” said Fouad Siniora, the prime minister of Lebanon, as the death toll among his people passed 300 civilian dead, 1,000 wounded, with half a million homeless.

Israel must pay for the “barbaric destruction,” said Siniora.

To the contrary, says columnist Lawrence Kudlow, “Israel is doing the Lord’s work.”

On American TV, former Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu says the ruination of Lebanon is Hezbollah’s doing. But is it Hezbollah that is using U.S.-built F-16s, with precision-guided bombs, and 155-mm artillery pieces to wreak death and devastation on Lebanon?

No, Israel is doing this, with the blessing and without a peep of protest from President Bush. And we wonder why they hate us.

“Today, we are all Israelis!” brayed Ken Mehlman of the Republican National Committee to a gathering of Christians United for Israel.

One wonders if these Christians care about what is happening to our Christian brethren in Lebanon and Gaza, who have had all power cut off by Israeli air strikes, an outlawed form of collective punishment, that has left them with no sanitation, rotting food, impure water, and days without light or electricity in the horrible heat of July. A Handful of Neocons Are Instigating a Wider War

Will Americans join Iraqis, Lebanese, and Palestinians as neocon victims?

by Paul Craig Roberts

What explains the indifference of the Bush administration to the slaughter of civilians in Iraq, Lebanon, and Gaza?

As of the morning of July 19, Israeli bombardments of Lebanese civilian residential districts and public infrastructure have murdered 300 Lebanese, wounded 1,000, and displaced 500,000. The Lebanese prime minister said that Israel’s attack has caused “unimaginable losses” and that his government will seek compensation from Israel.

In Gaza, Israel has murdered scores of Palestinian civilians in the past few days.

In Iraq, the civilian daily death toll has risen above 100.

These dead are not Hezbollah militia. They are not Hamas militia. They are not al-Qaeda or Sunni insurgents. They are civilians.

Frustrated by Hezbollah, Israel is lashing out at hapless civilians, knowing that the U.S. will protect Israel from UN Security Council condemnation. (more…)

US High Tech Workers Replaced by 3rd World

by Jeff Davis

It is a commonly understood if seldom voiced truth about America’s wide-open borders immigration policy, that Mexicans are being brought in to replace blacks as manual labor while Asians, including Hindus, Indonesians and Bangladeshis are being brought in to replace white professionals. Nowhere is this trend more clearly manifest than in the fields of engineering and information technology (IT). Call centers and customer service jobs aren’t the only American jobs being outsourced to India; American engineering and IT jobs are following at a rapid rate.

If Third World engineers were as intelligent and professional as Americans or Europeans, then why haven’t the one billion people in India produced one useful product that Americans are willing to buy? The nation of Sweden with only fifteen million people has two successful car companies that export their autos all over the world. There is a gigantic difference in technical competency from the technically advanced world to the Third World. The Third World is a hopeless backwater, that only seems able to produce cheap plastic and electronic products under slave-labor conditions.

The main problem with big corporations employing American IT workers is that Americans want decent pay, medical insurance, job security and respect from their employers. Multi-national corporations have discovered they don’t have to provide any of these things in the Third World. Given the choice between really investing in human resources and hiring a competent, skilled, intelligent and talented White American workforce, or hiring Asian “engineers” or “systems analysts” with useless degrees from Vindaloo U. for little more pay than a 7-11 clerk, the multinationals go for brown and cheap every time. American big business plans MAYBE ten minutes ahead on a good day. The desire to outsource is pursued with a religious fanaticism. (more…)

We’re Being Set Up for Wider War in the Middle East

Iraq War

The old adage, “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me” does not apply to Americans, who have shown that they can be endlessly fooled.

Neoconservatives deceived Americans into an illegal attack and debilitating war in Iraq. American neoconservatives are closely allied with Israel’s Likud Party. In the past, some neocons lost their security clearances because of “mishandling” of classified information. According to Insight magazine, “the Pentagon has banned security clearance to Americans with relatives in Israel. Government sources and attorneys said the Pentagon has sought and succeeded in removing security clearance from dozens of Americans, mostly Jews, who either lived, worked, or have relatives in Israel.” (more…)

Israel Has the Right to Murder at Will

American Rachel Corrie Killed by Israelis

The Mid-East is teetering on the brink of a massive conflagration thanks to Israel’s recent acts of war against Palestine and Lebanon. In the face of this lawlessness by the Zionists, American politicians and some talk show hacks have been parroting the phrase “Israel has the right to defend herself.” Every single one of our despicable, spineless politicians, who has made excuses for Israel in the last few weeks, should be hauled before the world court and charged as accomplices in Israel’s latest round of wholesale murder. Thanks to these gutless politicians, who will never condemn Israel for any wrong-doing, Israel effectively has the right to murder at will.

Shortly after Israel began waging war on its neighbors over the kidnapping of three soldiers, the rest of the world tried to condemn this behavior as an unjustifiable massive overreaction. Only the United States voted to stop the UN resolution against Israel. Meanwhile, neocons and other politicians hopelessly subservient to the Israeli Lobby have ignored the facts and begun making excuses for Israel. (more…)

Attention Deficit Americans Are Being Misled to War

AIPAC

A terrible thing is happening, and not enough Americans are aware to be able to do anything about it. Zionists in Israel and in the Bush administration are leading America into war with Iran, Syria, Hizbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine. The consequences for America, Israel and the Middle East will be disastrous, but as long as Washington is in thrall to Zionist paranoia, nothing can be done about it. Bush made this clear on July 14 when he rejected the plea from Lebanon’s prime minister to pressure Israel to stop its attack on Lebanon.

The war began when Bush’s neoconservative government invaded Afghanistan and Iraq under the pretense of “fighting terrorism.” Neither front has gone well for America. The Israelis, seeing the growing domestic opposition to Bush’s wars of choice, concluded that they are in danger of losing America’s military intervention in behalf of their Middle East interests. Israel decided to force the issue. (more…)

How Many More Nations Will Israel Attack?

by Ian Mosley

Destroyed Bridge

For decades, thoughtful and intelligent observers have been predicting some kind of major meltdown in the Middle East. It may be beginning this month. Several weeks ago, Palestinian militants captured an Israeli soldier and demanded the release of Palestinian women and children held by Israel. Israel had two choices to make: They could admit the Palestinians outfoxed them this one time and release the women and children or they could behave like an 800 lb gorilla smashing things and throwing a fit. They -of course- chose the latter. It’s entirely possible the Israelis were waiting for an “incident” so that they could launch a major punitive attack against the Palestinians in Gaza to get back at the Arabs for voting for Hamas.

Since the attack on Gaza, two more Israeli soldiers have been captured in the north near Lebanon. Israel has responded by launching a major attack on Lebanon –even bombing their airport. At least twelve Israeli soldiers have died trying to rescue the three Israeli prisoners. Clearly Israel would have been better off releasing the Palestinian women and children prisoners rather than launching these attacks. But blind hatred seems to trump a rational response every time. Cheney and Rove Sued over CIA Treason

Karl Rove in appropriate attire

In a surprise move ex-CIA agent Valerie Plame is suing Karl Rove and Dick Cheney for exposing her identity. Rove and Cheney have escaped justice -so far- and it looked as though they would ride out the last years of Bush’s presidency free and clear. The filing of a civil lawsuit will throw the spotlight on these individuals and could easily raise a public outcry for a criminal prosecution.

A recent news article reports “The CIA officer whose identity was leaked to reporters sued Vice President Dick Cheney, his former top aide and presidential adviser Karl Rove on Thursday, accusing them and other White House officials of conspiring to destroy her career. In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, Valerie Plame and her husband, Joseph Wilson, a former U.S. ambassador, accused Cheney, Rove and I. Lewis ‘Scooter’ Libby of participating in a ‘whispering campaign’ to reveal Plame’s CIA identity and punish Wilson for criticizing the Bush administration’s motives in Iraq.” (more…)

Local Politicians Fight Illegal Alien Problem

by James Buchanan

Bush and his boss

Finally after ignoring the problem for decades, local politicians are admitting that illegal immigration is a serious problem. The endless propaganda, praising immigrants, by the Feds and mass media has finally been challenged by someone with actual political power. Any law designed to fight the illegals -even on a town by town basis- is a huge improvement and a great first step.

A recent New York Times article reports “Tom Macklin, the mayor of this faded city deep in Florida’s citrus belt, heard the idea on talk radio and latched on with relish. A city up north, Hazleton, Pa., planned to root out and punish landlords who rented to illegal immigrants, fining them $1,000 for every such tenant. Mr. Macklin, whose own small city has swelled with immigrants from Mexico, Haiti and Jamaica over the past decade, swiftly proposed the same for Avon Park. ‘It was almost as if I was sitting in church at a revival and he was preaching to me,’ ” (more…)

Slavery Reparations, Again?

by Jeff Davis

Black slaves in America

Much like a vampire, who does not yet have a stake through his heart, the absurd and outrageous idea of white Americans paying “reparations” to every black man, woman and child now inhabiting the US, because their ancestors were slaves, has arose from the grave. The blacks simply won’t let it go. They all seem to be obsessed with the idea that one day they’re going to open their mail boxes and find the mother of all government checks addressed to them.

We have seen “reparations” in effect in Zimbabwe. Forget the fact that white farmers in Zimbabwe have endured malaria, tse tse flies and Marxist rebels to grow food to keep blacks there from starving for three or four generations. The Marxist government installed in 1981 has been taking farms away from white folks and handing the land over to blacks. The result has been disastrous with the entire population currently facing starvation.

If American blacks had been given 40 acres and a mule in 1865, a gaggle of Yankee carpetbaggers from New York would have swindled most of the blacks out of their windfall. The blacks who did attempt farming would have found it involved planning ahead, hard work and persistence. It’s doubtful they would have fared much better than their cousins in Zimbabwe. (more…)
