In view of the Biblically correct contents of the celebrated movie “The Passion” by director and producer Mel Gibson, and the violent reaction against the film by organized Jewry, there has been considerable speculation whether or not Mel Gibson is a closet anti-Semite. Well, an interesting incident has occurred which surprisingly adds fuel to a long simmering fire. An article on the TMZ web site states: “TMZ has learned that actor and director Mel Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious epithets. TMZ has also learned that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department had the initial report doctored to keep the real story under wraps.” The TMZ article goes on to repeat alleged anti-Semitic remarks by Gibson including the observation: “The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.”
Mel Gibson became a major star with a post-Apocalyptic action film “Mad Max.” Shortly after that, Gibson was given roles in the series of “Lethal Weapon” movies and a long list of other successful films. Gibson is a conservative devout Christian and it seems likely the Jewish Hollywood establishment did not feel “comfortable” around him. Several years ago it was revealed that Mel Gibson’s dad did not believe in the Holocaust, which must have caused even more gnashing of kosher teeth over Mel Gibson and his movie career. Among Gibson’s most impressive films are The Passion of the Christ, Braveheart, The Patriot and We Were Soldiers. (more…)
