Israel Brutalizes Palestine As No One Cares

Destroyed Bridge

Don’t hold your breath waiting for our polticians or president to strongly condemn the wholesale massive strike launched by the Israelis over the last few days. You’ll sooner turn blue than hear anyone in the Bush regime chastise Israel for over-reacting.

Palestinian radicals apparently kidnapped an Israeli soldier in an effort to get an exchange for Palestinian women and children in Israeli prisons. The rational, sane thing for the Israelis would have been to admit that the Palestinians got the edge on them for once and trade the prisoners for the Israeli. They could have done this quietly and never admitted that they made a “trade.” Not only did the Israelis refuse a rational low-key approach, they launched what can only be described as a massive miltary strike against Palestine. Three major bridges and an electric power station were destroyed in an attempt to punish Palestinians as a whole. It is supposed to be “illegal” to destroy civilian infrastructure during a war, but Israeli has accumulated a long list of UN resolutions against it, despite fawning support from the US government. Bush Rejects Truce with Iraqi Rebels

No More War

In what seemed like a golden opportunity for an exit strategy, eleven Iraqi rebel organizations offered a truce if the US got out of their country by 2008. Did the Bush regime jump on this chance to get out of a hopeless quagmire? Of course not. Bush’s solution to every problem is to use a stick with no carrot. When using a stick fails, Bush tries to use a bigger stick. This is the same exact strategy Israel has been using which has produced an endless war against the Palestinians (which the US has funded for the last 58 years).

Despite all the propaganda from the nearly-indicted Karl Rove about “cutting and running,” the support for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq has steadily increased. Anyone listening to Fox News or even mainstream TV would think that only a few hippies in tie-dyed T-shirts favor an immediate withdrawal, but “according to a poll by the Sacred Heart University Polling Institute. 47.8 per cent of respondents think the U.S. should pull out of Iraq now, while 44.1 per cent disagree.” A different poll by Zogby found that 72 percent of our troops in Iraq think the US should withdraw within one year. These troops are witnessing first hand what our occupation is “accomplishing.” If they think it’s a waste of time, they’re probably right. (more…)

Black Transvestite Fashion Thieves Run Amok

Proud Mayor of New Orleans

Well, folks, it looks like New Orleans is indeed recovering from Hurricane Katrina, and it’s back to business as usual. The New Orleans City Business website reports that the “trendy boutiques and fashion spas of the French Quarter and central business district are now being terrorized by a dangerous band of criminals– outlaw transvestites on the panther-like prowl for Prada, Gucci goons, desperados in drag who are pulling high-fashion heists all up and down the Lower Garden District, Magazine Street and the French Quarter since May.”

A recent news article reports “Robyn Lewis, owner of Dark Charm fashion and accessories for women, represents the first line of defense for the Magazine Street shop owners. She is the first to see them come strutting in their pumps down St. Andrew Street, the bewigged pack of thieves who have plagued the Lower Garden District since May. Like an SOS flare, Lewis grabs her emergency phone list and starts calling. ‘They’re coming,’ she warns Eric Ogle a salesman at Vegas, a block down Magazine Street. Ogle, who was terrorized by the brazen crew two months earlier, alerts neighboring Winky’s where manager Kendra Bonga braces for the onslaught. Soon every shop owner in the 2000 block of Magazine Street has been alerted. Sarah Celino at Trashy Diva eyes the door, ready to flip the lock at the first sight of the ringleader’s pink jumpsuit and fluorescent red wig. Down at Turncoats, where the fashion-happy gang once made off with more than $2,000 in merchandise, store manager Wes Davis stands ready… Ogle gave police a description of the perpetrators — African-American males ranging in height from 6 feet to 6-5. They all wore the same midriff shirts and wigs with twisted, dreadnaught hair. ‘They’re all very skinny and very flamboyant,’ Ogle said.” (more…)

Fool Me Twice

Carnage in Iraq

A date to remember will be the night of June 20, 2006. That’s the night Congress was fooled for the second time.

Remember October 2002 and Iraq?

So much has happened since then that it seems like ancient history.

Or at least that is what the Bush administration would like to have the public think. One constant theme that emanates from the White House is that whatever mistakes might have been made in the past – e.g., the reasons given to justify going to war with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq – that’s behind us. It’s “water under the bridge” or maybe “over the damn” – take your pick.

The latest example of trying to spin this web occurred in Vienna, Austria on June 21 during a presidential press conference following the U.S.-European Union summit. Asked why Europeans in recent opinion polls held the United States in low regard as a force for peace, Bush in effect discounted the poll results as a perceptual problem for Europeans. He had made decisions he thought best for the United States and the world, and it was simply unfortunate that Europeans happened not to agree with him. (more…)

Rebuilding? Not for Fallujah

Fallujah

One and a half years after the November 2004 U.S. military assault on Fallujah, residents tell of ongoing suffering, lack of jobs, little reconstruction and continuing violence.

The US military launched Operation Phantom Fury against the city of Fallujah-destroying an estimated 70 percent of the buildings, homes and shops, and killing between 4,000 and 6,000 people, according to the Fallujah-based non-governmental organization the Study Center for Human Rights and Democracy (SCHRD).

IPS found that the city remains under draconian biometric security, with retina scans, fingerprinting and X-raying required for anyone entering the city. Fallujah remains an island: not even the residents of the surrounding towns and villages like Karma, Habbaniya, Khalidiya, which fall under Fallujah’s administrative jurisdiction, are allowed in. “THE REAL MOTIVE BEHIND THE “DEPARTMENT OF GLOBAL ANTI-SEMITISM”

by Rev. Ted Pike

Kozak

On October 16, 2004 President Bush signed into law the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act. It establishes a special department within the U.S. State Department to monitor global anti-Semitism, reporting annually to Congress.

This is more “Hate Crimes” legislation, orchestrated by the international Jewish religious, educational, and fraternal organization, B’nai B’rith, and its Anti-Defamation League. The new “Department of Global Anti-Semitism” is designed to make critics of Israel not only into “anti-Semites” but ultimately into “domestic terrorists.” (more…)

Four US Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan

Afghanistan

Once more it’s time for us to stroll down memory lane and take a peek at America’s “Forgotten War”–the low-level guerrilla insurgency which has been flickering in Afghanistan for the past five years, ever since the 2001 U. S. invasion. Remember that “famous victory?” That “splendid little war” as they used to say in Victorian times? Remember George Dubya swaggering and preening and boasting about how he had done what no one from Alexander the Great had been able to do, that he had conquered Afghanistan? Remember the cheering neocons cackling about their “victory” while Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sixpack thought he was really doing something to avenge 911? Remember the happy talk from the beautifully coiffed and tailored talking heads on Fox News?

Well, what goes around, comes around. Five years later the Northern Alliance gangs who won the war for us have disintegrated and the Karzai regime is the usual sink of Asiatic corruption, as his officials cruise around Kabul in their armored limousines with their whores and Halliburton contracts in their pocket. Meanwhile, the rest of Afghanistan is mired in violence, misery, poverty and chaos. (more…)

Army Recruiting 40 Year Olds

by Ian Mosley

Old Soldier

The great neocon conundrum is: how do you conquer the world with no army? The Vietnam War inspired Americans to rebel against and eliminate the draft in the 1970s for fear of their children getting drafted into a needless quagmire. The neocons are in the middle of provoking yet another pointless war, this time with Iran, and yet virtually all their combat troops are tied down in Iraq, leaving virtually no forces left to oppose real enemies like North Korea. How they propose to conquer the huge land mass of Iran remains a mystery.

One answer to the perpetual problem modern-day tyrants saddled with a “volunteer army” have in recruiting soldiers is to loosen the standards. A recent news article reports “The US Army said it is raising the maximum age for enlistment from 40 to 42 in an effort to expand its pool of potential recruits. The move comes just six months after the army raised the maximum age from 35 to 40, reflecting continuing concerns about recruiting even though it has met its monthly goals for the past 12 months… It said recruits between the ages of 40 to 42 must meet the same physical standards as younger ones but will be subjected to additional medical screening. Both men and women in that age bracket can enlist and are eligible for the same signing bonuses and other incentives as younger recruits. The command said more than 1,000 individuals over the age of 35 have enlisted since the maximum age was raised in January.”

The next step after repeatedly raising the age of enlistment will be to lower it. Our government is almost certain to float a “trial balloon” to lower the enlistment age on the young end down to sixteen (preferably without parental consent of course). (more…)

WAR IS A RACKET (Chapter One)

by Marine Corps General Smedley Butler

WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small “inside” group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.

In the World War [I] a mere handful garnered the profits of the conflict. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War. That many admitted their huge blood gains in their income tax returns. How many other war millionaires falsified their tax returns no one knows. (more…)

Abortion Versus White Survival

by Charles Coughlin

Family

A recent news article reports “An abortion clinic surrendered its license Wednesday amid allegations that a woman delivered a nearly full-term stillborn baby after a staff member gave her an abortion-inducing drug without a doctor present… The nurse practitioner then gave the woman the RU 486 abortion drug even though the woman’s blood pressure was dangerously high. The woman went to an emergency room six days later and delivered a 6-pound stillborn baby, according to a state health department report… The board has banned Dr. Deborah Lyn Levich and nurse practitioner Janet F. Onthank King from working together and accused Levich of allowing her nurse practitioner to prescribe drugs and render services for which she was not approved.”

Abortion has been legal in the US for decades. Some estimates suggest that 50 million babies (most of them White) have been aborted since Roe Vs. Wade. The women who have abortions are typically White women who want a high standard of living and who are planning on getting an education (and ironically the ones who should be having babies). (more…)
