Bush Lobbies to Remove Elected Iraqi Leader

If the President of the United States is going to insist on the right arbitrarily to appoint the prime minister of Iraq’s so-called democratic government, why did they even bother to have all those silly bogus elections with assorted Arabs holding up purple fingers and whatnot? Who does George Bush think he is? The U. S. Supreme Court? Doesn’t he know only they have the right to appoint heads of state?

For the second time in less than a year, the Bush regime has denounced a democratically elected government in the Muslim world. Hamas has been given the cold shoulder after winning the Palestinian election and now an Iraqi prime minister finds himself undermined by Bush and the neocons. What exactly did he expect? What bizarre analysis made Bush think that a democracy would automatically want to align itself with the US and Israel? (more…)
