Barack Obama’s Many Shady Associates

A recent news article reports “Obama fundraiser, convicted of fraud, spills beans… Jailed political fundraiser Antoin ‘Tony’ Rezko, the Chicago real estate developer who helped launch Barack Obama on his political career, is whispering secrets to federal prosecutors about corruption in Illinois and the political fallout could be explosive… Rezko also was friendly with Obama — offering him a job when he finished law school, funding his earliest political campaigns and purchasing a lot next to his house.”

So far, Tony Rezko has not testified about any corruption involving Barack Obama. Perhaps Mr. Rezko is hoping Obama will be able to give him a presidential pardon in the not too distant future.

An article from the Huffington Post reports “…It is nothing short of a political godfather story. The tale of an eager, brilliant, ambitious man wanting to rise in politics, and the man who had the money to make it happen. It’s the real true tale of Barack Obama and Antoin ‘Tony’ Rezko and the Faustian political deal made in the quest for power, fame and political prowess, which would eventually lead to a bid for the presidency. The fact that Obama won’t mention the name of the guy who made his rise to political prominence possible out loud illustrates the efforts to which Obama, with the aid of a mostly negligent press, has been able to make Rezko a forbidden word to utter, instead of an issue that we all should know a lot more about… It’s a story of Mr. Hope backed by Mr. Slumlord, who will be in federal court on February 25th on what U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald calls a ‘pay to play on steroids.’ ”

What collective mass insanity is compelling millions of Americans to think that we can get real “change” from a candidate, who comes from the massively corrupt Chicago political machine and whose cronies include the likes of Tony Rezko?

Obama’s long association with Rezko should convince most Americans that the Brown Messiah can’t be trusted. But wait, there’s more. Obama has a long and growing list of shady characters and organizations that he has chosen to associate with.

Exactly how many shady characters does Obama get a “pass” on? We all heard about the “hate Whitey” preacher at Obama’s Black Church, Reverend Wright. Obama eventually distanced himself from Wright, but what about the many years, Obama freely associated with him? If a White politician had associated with David Duke for 20 years, you can bet there would be no forgiveness for that past association from the mainstream media. It seems the media pundits are inclined to overlook Black racism while the slightest sign of any association with a pro-White activist would automatically result in the disqualification of that candidate.

So, who else besides a notorious crook and a Black racist preacher has Obama called “friend”? A Washington Post article notes that “(Franklin) Raines, who retired from Fannie Mae four years ago, had ‘taken calls from Barack Obama’s presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters.’ ” Franklin Raines played a major role in greatly expanding subprime home loans to unqualified minorities. The Raines-Obama connection would be like a Republican candidate in the 1940s taking financial advice from Herbert Hoover.

Another news article notes “If you are in a position to keep bad things from happening, morality demands that you muster the courage to do so. In 2005, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was in a position to prevent much of the financial agony that America is in now but campaign contributions talked louder than his conscience. The one most decisive factor in creating America’s present financial disaster was the Democrats’ deregulation of Fannie Mae beginning nine years ago under the supervision of Fannie Mae chief Franklin Raines, who is now an economic adviser to Obama (however much the Washington Post’s editorial board might try to distort the truth—but we’ll get to that paper’s shameful behavior in a few). In January 2005, a bill was produced in the Senate to stop the approaching disaster, and Obama sided with those who killed the bill… In December 2004, in the midst of a $6.8 billion accounting scandal, Raines left Fannie only to resurface this year, according to the Washington Post, which reported on July 16 that Raines had recently taken ‘calls from Barack Obama’s presidential campaign seeking his advice on mortgage and housing policy matters.’ When the Post’s editorial board realized that what reporter Anita Huslin had uncovered might reflect badly on Obama, its chosen candidate, it made a desperate attempt to discredit its own reporter.”

Obama’s shady associates include the extremely disreputable militant liberal organization ACORN. Obama actually worked for ACORN early in his political career, and most recently Obama paid ACORN to recruit new voters. One news story reports “In a growing voter-registration scandal, the heat is on a left-leaning advocacy group now facing multiple investigations over questionable voter registration forms in several states. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported that the Allegheny County district attorney is mulling criminal charges over nearly 100 fraudulent voter registrations, some reportedly submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, already the focus of election fraud allegations in other states.” ACORN reportedly used ex-felons to register new voters, which is against the law. ACORN activists also repeatedly registered the same people over and over with one man saying he was registered to vote over 70 times by ACORN. Vote fraud however is the least of ACORN’s sins. They bear a huge role in the subprime disaster.

A Fox News article reports “ACORN is a group of very radical community organizers. They have been very strongly supported by Barack Obama, although he sometimes likes to deny that connection. Obama has channeled the funds to ACORN from various foundations he’s been on. He’s done training for ACORN of their leaders. And what ACORN does is they try to intimidate banks into giving these high-risk loans to low-credit customers. This is what they did for years, especially in the late ’80s and early ’90s.”

So Obama was joined at the hip with a militant liberal organization that played a key role in destroying our economy. You’d think Americans should hold that against him. After all, why hire someone to clean up a mess, when that someone played a role in causing the mess in the first place?

And last, but not least of Obama’s shady associates is William Ayers, a former domestic terrorist of the Weather Underground. Obama began his political career at a meeting in Mr. Ayers’ home. One website notes “(William) Ayers participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, the United States Capitol building in 1971, and The Pentagon in 1972, as he noted in his 2001 book, Fugitive Days.”

It should be kept in mind that these are merely the shady associates of Obama, that we know of. Who knows how many other unsavory characters are in Obama’s cell phone list? Obama’s associates include a crook, an ex-terrorist, a Black racist preacher and an organization that helped destroy the US economy. Given what we know right now, there is no way that Barack Hussein Obama should get anywhere near the Oval Office. It’s incredible that the Democrat Party would have the nerve to nominate someone who is so far outside the mainstream of responsible, law-abiding Americans. Hopefully the swooning praise from the liberal mass media will be deflated by the truth. We can’t trust an Affirmative Action president to repair the damage done by millions of Affirmative Action home loans.
