An article in the Israel National News reports: “Egypt allowed at least one Israeli and 11 American warships to pass through the Suez Canal as an Iranian flotilla approaches Gaza. Egypt closed the canal to protect the ships with thousands of soldiers, according to the British-based Arabic language newspaper Al Quds al-Arabi. International agreements require Egypt to keep the Suez open even for warships, but the armada, led by the USS Truman with 5,000 sailors and marines, was the largest in years. Egypt closed the canal to fishing and other boats as the armada moved through the strategic passageway that connects the Red and Mediterranean Seas. Despite Egypt’s reported refusal to block the canal to Iranian boats, the clearance for the American-Israeli fleet may be a warning to Iran it may face military opposition if the Iranian Red Crescent ship continues on course to Gaza….”

Iran had threatened to send its navy to Gaza after Israel’s recent attack on a ship carrying peace activists. The Iranian navy would require a trip through the Suez Canal from the opposite direction.

Israel National News goes on: “The warships may exercise the right to inspect the Iranian boat for the illegal transport (of) weapons. Newsweek reported that Egyptian authorities could stop the ship for weeks, using technicalities such as requiring that any official documents be translated from Farsi into Arabic. The magazine’s website also reported that the Iranian navy is the weakest part of its armed forces… Israel has warned U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon that Israel will use force, if necessary, to stop the boats…”

Israel of course has the most modern military in the Middle East, thanks to our tax dollars and the whores in our government who keep arming these Israeli murderers regardless of what they do to their neighbors. If Iran did try to send warships to escort the next ship full of peace activists or a red crescent ship from Iran, the Israelis would just sink the whole flotilla. Hopefully Iran won’t offer up any easy targets like that.

No doubt Joe Lieberman, John McCain and other whorish supporters of Israel would blame Iran for any violence and might even use that as an excuse for that bombing campaign against Iran, that they have been lobbying for.

It’s curious that we are hearing little-to-nothing about these developments in any major American media. Why are Americans not being allowed to know about this escalating situation? Seems like the citizens of Israel are getting the news while we aren’t.
