Tiger Woods Badly Flawed (and so Is Obama)
by James Buchanan

Tiger Woods’ reputation took a major hit over Thanksgiving as a golf-club wielding jealous wife battered him over an affair that made the tabloids just a day earlier. At first a bizarre story about a traffic accident at 2:30am was reported. Supposedly the wife had bashed out the rear windows to “save” Tiger. This story quickly fell apart: The air bag system should have protected Tiger from significant injuries like his facial injuries and concussion. Apparently the wife clubbed him before he got in the car. Tiger then ran for his life jumping in the Cadillac Escalade. The wife started smashing out windows as he drove out the driveway, causing him to floor the accelerator and crash the car.
When Tiger Woods first appeared in professional golf, swarms of golf fans just couldn’t get enough of him. Apparently there was some sort of latent “reverse racism” that existed in millions of White people, who suddenly found golf interesting with a Black player while the game had apparently been boring when Whites dominated the game. Never mind the fact that Tiger Woods is only 25 percent African, half Asian and then one-eighth Native American and one-eighth White.
The combination of a young talented golfer, who looks Black and who seems like a nice guy, was effectively lightning in a bottle. Advertisers quickly beat a path to his door, rewarding Tiger with far more money for endorsements than he was winning on the golfing circuit.
Why do so many White people go so crazy over Tiger Woods? The only logical answer is that some White people want to prove they are pro-Black. Conservatives and even moderates are endlessly bombarded with accusations of racism. Most White people see Blacks as heavily criminal and try to avoid them as much as possible. To counter all this, they feel a need to go nuts over a Black who is well-behaved and seemingly a nice guy.
Well, it looks like Tiger Woods is just another cheating weasel. All the hero-worship, people were heaping on him, was undeserved. The guilt-based mental illness that makes so many White people worship Tiger Woods however is incredibly strong. There is no sign that any of his endorsements will be pulled anytime soon.
While most pundits would never draw a connection between Tiger Woods and Barack Obama, there definitely is a connection. Just over a year ago, millions of empty-headed moderates rushed out to vote for a seemingly nice Black politician to compensate for their White-guilt. If you suggest this to a moderate, who voted for Obama, expect to be greeted by howls of outrage. Of course, if you ask a White moderate what Obama had done in his political career to deserve to be president, expect to be greeted by silence.
I’m hoping this little incident will help begin to wake up certain White people. There is no such thing as a “magic Negro” –not in sports and certainly not in politics.
