A recent news article reports “East-Cleveland Mayor Eric Brewer is in the midst of a reelection campaign where it will be decided next Tuesday whether or not he stays in office. That’s why the pictures posted below are so damaging, and that’s also why Mayor Eric Brewer thinks something foul is afoot. The pictures, when compared side-by-side with other pictures of Mayor Eric Brewer, appear to show Brewer wearing high-heels, lingerie and a wig in overtly sexual poses. It’s not illegal, but it’s definitely not the kind of thing you want coming out right before an election. That’s why Brewer thinks the photos were leaked by a political enemy who wants to see him lose the upcoming election.”

Well finally the Democrats are making an effort to reclaim their stranglehold on the “pervert party” title. The Republicans were making a strong effort to take away that title after Congressman Mark Foley’s “Gay-e-mails-to-the-male-pages” scandal, Senator Larry Craig’s Gay foot-tapping scandal, Governor Mark Sanford’s fling with a Buenos Aires reporter and Senator David Vitter’s fling with a New Orleans’ hooker.

In the last few weeks, the Democrats have made a strong effort to shame themselves. The sex scandal involving Senator John Edwards spectacularly reemerged. Apparently the aide to Edwards who claimed to be the father of the mystery baby (that some people were attributing to Edwards during Kerry’s presidential campaign in 2004) has recanted his claim and now says Edwards is the father. The New York Post reported that Edwards was telling his mistress he would marry her on a rooftop in New York with the Dave Matthews band playing –as soon as his current wife died of cancer of course. Just when you thought lawyers couldn’t get any slimier. (more…)

Roman Polanski was recently arrested in Switzerland for a child rape he committed in 1977. Despite the extreme depravity of the offense and Polanski’s evasion of justice for over three decades, there have been cries of outrage from the liberal media over his arrest.

If some Joe Sixpack picked up a 17 year old in a bar in California, took her home and had consensual sex with her, he could be looking at statutory rape charges. If convicted, he would be on a sex offender list for the rest of his life, and he’d be looking at serious jail time. The age of consent is still 18 in California, Oregon and Wisconsin. It’s been reduced to either 17 or 16 in most other states. Back when the age of consent was still 18 in Illinois, there used to be an old saying that “17 will get you 20″ meaning you could be looking at 20 years in prison in a worst case scenario if you had sex with a 17 year old.

Roman Polanski did not merely “miss” the age of consent by a year or two. He had sex with a 13 year old child, who repeatedly told him “No” after he gave her drugs. Polanski’s crime was a very real rape of a child. Amazingly, there is a chorus of support for Polanski among liberals, the Hollywood crowd and even some foreign governments. (more…)

An article from the New York Post reports “During his first eight months in office, President Obama has sat down for three times as many television interviews as his most recent two predecessors combined. And with yesterday’s run of the Sunday-morning news show circuit and tonight’s airing of Late Night with David Letterman, Obama continues to blaze through the media hotter than any political figure in modern history. ‘He’s turning the presidency into an infomercial,’ warned former White House speechwriter Matt Latimer.”

Notice the Post doesn mention those disastrous town hall meetings and the massive grass roots opposition to his health care scheme. Nor has the liberal media like the Post bothered to give serious coverage to the Tea Parties and gigantic anti-tax rally in DC that drew hundreds of thousands if not a million protesters. According the the Post, it’s all about Obama and how much people love him.

The article notes “The media blitz has won Obama unprecedented wall-to-wall coverage in the mainstream media. In the New York Times alone, according to the Center for Media and Public Affairs at George Mason University, 405 stories on the Obama administration have appeared on the front page through mid-August of this year totaling 119,678 column inches. That’s 9,973 column feet of Obama coverage on the Times front page alone.”

That’s almost two miles of coverage on Obama in the New York Times –virtually all of it fawning praise. Curiously liberal newspapers all over America are teetering on bankruptcy or worse. The Seattle Post Intelligencer went out of business last year. The Los Angeles Times is teetering on bankruptcy. But have no fear, all you lefties out there, there just might be a government bail out for future failing liberal rags. (more…)

Remember all those terror scares during the Bush administration. Well Homeland Security and the CIA must be facing some budget cuts because we’ve just been deluged with terrorist plots over the last few weeks, culminating in a story about a new “secret” uranium enrichment facility in Iran, which the Iranians themselves just announced to the world. Maybe the Israelis are hoping Obama will launch a war against Iran to take attention away from the continuing and worsening Depression in the US (in the same way FDR provoked a war with Japan when he couldn’t fix America’s economic problems).

Back when Bush was president, it seemed like there was a new orange alert every week. Eventually people were getting sick of all that nonsense. Many Americans became suspicious that their own government (or perhaps the Israeli MOSSAD) played a key role in the 911 attack. The Israelis were caught setting up a phony al Qaeda cell in Palestine a few weeks after 911. Maybe the Israelis set up phony cells in Saudi Arabia and Egypt to recruit most of the 911 hijackers and to sour US relations with those two Arab nations.

If our government really wanted to prevent terrorism inside the US, we would simply block all immigration of Muslims from the Third World and deport all the ones, who had immigrated over the last 40 years –and keep a keen eye on any Israelis in the US for any “knife in the back” false flag terror operations that they may be plotting. Then the government wouldn’t “need” to harass little old ladies at airports and spy on all electronic communications inside the US.

The truth is that the government WANTS us to be paranoid about terrorism and their real goal was to pass the Patriot Act so they could spy on us 24/7, which is why they will never take the few simple clear steps that would eliminate the problem overnight. (more…)

Simmons survived the Great Depression and two world wars, but couldn’t survive Obama’s first term

The liberal media continues to try to convince us that we’re in a “recovery”. Strange. Shouldn’t a recovery be obvious –with unemployed people suddenly getting jobs? Well apparently this is a “jobless recovery” and we just have to take their word that things are getting “better”.

Well two curious things just happened and neither goes along with a recovery. The Georgian Bank of Atlanta just went bankrupt, making it the 95th bank to fail this year, and the famous Simmons Mattress Company, which has been around since 1876 is going bankrupt.

A recent news article reports “Simmons Co., the maker of Beautyrest mattresses, said Friday that it plans to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a move that will put new owners in charge of the bedding unit and significantly lower the company’s debt. Sales have slumped for mattress makers as consumers pull back on their spending during the recession, especially on big-ticket items like mattresses. The plan, which will not affect the company’s operations, is expected to reduce its total debt from about $1 billion to $450 million. It must receive bankruptcy court approval.”

The Simmons company has been making mattresses for 133 years, which raises another question: How is it possible for a company that has been around for several generations to go bankrupt? A company that old should own all the real estate under their factories. Owning the ground under your feet is a huge advantage for any kind of business. (more…)

You’ve Lost a Lot of Ground, Baby.

I am always fascinated to observe when a liberal pundit is dragged kicking and screaming to the admission that they’ve been wrong about something all their lives. New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd has finally admitted something that almost everybody knows, especially American women: The great feminist revolution has not succeeded in making women equal, but only in making them miserable.

It’s true women weren’t allowed to vote until 1920, but a real women’s movement in the early 20th century fought to get that right. Women were attending colleges in America long before 1920. Movies from the 1930s show women in a wide variety of professions. And there were women in the corporate world decades ago (although most of the early ones inherited their husband’s corporation after the husband had a fatal heart attack).

The radical feminist movement that started in the 1970s tried to convince millions of American women that they would never be happy as housewives raising children, even though a very large percentage of American women were happy being housewives, raising children.

Many of the women who tried following men into the business world pursuing a “career” found that their career often got in the way of finding a good husband and having a family.

In her column in the New York Times, Dowd says: “Women are getting unhappier…Why are we sadder? In the early ’70s, breaking out of the domestic cocoon, leaving their mothers’ circumscribed lives behind, young women felt exhilarated and bold. But the more women have achieved, the more they seem aggrieved. Did the feminist revolution end up benefiting men more than women?”

Actually, it benefited neither and seriously harmed both. Millions of children were robbed of having a full time mom to look after them. Instead of having one parent, who was exhausted and stressed out after a day at work, millions of families had TWO exhausted and stressed out parents with little time or patience left for their children. The H1N1 flu is starting to look very odd. World Health authorities have been screaming about it since February or so, and wildly predicting a terrible catastrophic pandemic–but it’s almost October now, and no deadly killer plague has yet materialized, just a flu.

According to the latest panicky article in the U. K. Guardian, “The swine flu pandemic could kill millions and cause anarchy in the world’s poorest nations unless £900m can be raised from rich countries to pay for vaccines and antiviral medicines, says a UN report leaked to the Observer. The disclosure will provoke concerns that health officials will not be able to stem the growth of the worldwide H1N1 pandemic in developing countries. If the virus takes hold in the poorest nations, millions could die and the economies of fragile countries could be destroyed.”

In other words, the sky is falling! Give us more money or you’re all doomed!!! Despite a few panicky reports in the early weeks out of Mexico, the H1N1 flu has largely been a big yawn, killing fewer people than the typical flu epidemic.

Could this whole plague thing simply be another shakedown of taxpayers in the Western world so assorted leftists, media people and bureaucrats can live large off taxpayer dollars for a few more years? The only real threat comes from a slight similarity to the disastrous Spanish Flu, and the possibility that the flu might mutate into something deadly. Obama plans to give government health care to illegals by giving them citizenship.

How does an extremely slick president deceive the country without actually lying? Well, let’s take a look at the dance Obama is doing around the health care reform/illegal immigrants issue. The Washington Times reports: “President Obama said this week that his health care plan won’t cover illegal immigrants, but argued that’s all the more reason to legalize them and ensure they eventually do get coverage.”

Well, there ya go! True, the bill (or at least some versions of it) will in fact state “illegal aliens will not be eligible for these services” and they have added an enforcement mechanism after Joe Wilson’s embarrassing interruption. But in order to pander to the Hispanic lobby and continue the racial destruction of America, you just amnesty them all and presto! They’re eligible!

The Washington Times goes on: “[Obama] also staked out a position that anyone in the country legally should be covered – a major break with the 1996 welfare reform bill, which limited most federal public assistance programs only to citizens and longtime immigrants. ‘Even though I do not believe we can extend coverage to those who are here illegally, I also don’t simply believe we can simply ignore the fact that our immigration system is broken,’ Mr. Obama said Wednesday evening in a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. ‘That’s why I strongly support making sure folks who are here legally have access to affordable, quality health insurance under this plan, just like everybody else….If anything, this debate underscores the necessity of passing comprehensive immigration reform and resolving the issue of 12 million undocumented people living and working in this country once and for all… Republicans said that amounts to an amnesty, calling it a backdoor effort to make sure current illegal immigrants get health care.”

First of all, the number of illegal aliens in the US is actually over 20 million, and these politicians who throw around the “12 million” figure know they’re lying, but we already know what Obama is –thanks to Joe Wilson. (more…)

When Obama commands, the rest of us must obey. That is the message being conveyed loud and clear by certain liberals. The Valdosta Times (in Georgia) reports: “The Rev. Floyd Rose called for Valdosta City School Superintendent Dr. Bill Cason’s resignation Monday night. During the regular Board of Education meeting Rose, president of the Valdosta/Lowndes County Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, spoke to the board about the superintendent’s decision not to air President Barack Obama’s speech on education during school hours. Rose and hundreds of others converged on the BOE office demanding answers for why the speech was not shown in a school system that is predominately black.”

In other words, the office was effectively attacked by an irate black mob. Kind of dangerous to get between the Blacks and their highly beloved Obama even if he’s just prattling on about nothing like he usually does, wasting everyone’s time.

The Times notes “On the day the speech was scheduled to air, Rose and others met with Cason and discussed why the speech would not be shown. Cason, Rose said, had plenty of time between the meeting and the speech to call the schools and tell them to allow the children to watch the speech. Rose said Cason’s reasons for not showing the speech were that it did not align with the Georgia Performance Standards that are the basis for school lesson plans and that the speech and the lesson plans provided would cut into instructional time.” (more…)

AOL News reports: “Cosmetic advertisements in Asia are targeting men with blunt campaigns aimed at skin color that one lawmaker claims is racist. In one TV commercial, two men, one with dark skin, the other with light skin; stand on a balcony overlooking a neighborhood. The dark skin guy turns to his friend and says in Hindi, ‘I am unlucky because of my face.’ His light-skinned friend replies, ‘Not because of your face, because of the color of your face.’ Suddenly the light-skinned guy throws his friend a tube of cream. It’s a whitening cream…. In a country where most people have brown skin, the message being sent to men and women has some people outraged. ‘Basically if you need a job you have to have white skin. If you want a good partner, a companion you need white skin and you always seem to get it once you’ve used the fairness cream. Basically I think it’s completely racist and highly objectionable,’ says Brinda Karat.”

I wonder what this woman would say about a little-known aspect of her country’s history. During the days of the British Raj in India, the local rajahs, nobility and dignitaries would invite the tallest, blondest blue-eyed British officers they could find to long, luxurious house parties in their palaces. By day the young British men hunted tigers and played polo. At night, after sumptuous feasting on Indian cuisine, they were given free run of the Rajah’s harem and especially encouraged to select among his multiple wives for their nocturnal recreation.

The reasoning behind this was cold and calculating eugenics: The Indian nobility, descended from ancient Aryan invaders themselves, wanted to replenish, improve and invigorate the racial strain of their dynasties, which had become dangerously contaminated down through the centuries with genes from the brown hordes who populate most of India. Their caste needed an intellectual boost to assure their position, and they needed an injection of new blood from the British officer class. (more…)
